I shot my CW45 at the range today, came home and cleaned it. I reloaded the mag and tried to insert it, but it wouldn't fit. I tried another mag and it fit just fine. Upon closer examination, I noticed that the mag has a small crack at the top left rear of it and when I load the mag to the gills the pressure causes it to bow out. It's barely visible, but it's there. Has anyone else had this happen? Would this be covered under the warranty?

Wynn recently had that on several of his PM45 mags I believe. As I recall Kahr replaced them all. Should be a warranty thing if you ask me.

I prefer to email and send pictures... saves a lot of talking and gesturing that can't be seen over the phone... you know, talking with your hands.:D

Yours might be a solitary magazine failure, but mine was a gun problem... just all of a sudden on one trip to the range four out of six magazines failed... splitting at the top rear of the mags... both sides. It took Kahr CS a while to sort that out, but a new frame fixed that problem and they replaced all six magazines, since the others were probably about to fail as well. Evidently they were able to duplicate the problem and tried several fixes before trying the new frame.

I hope yours is just one magazine problem and that they will send you another one.

I also had a gun problem. Split rear of 4 magazines only one month old. Kahr replaced with no questions asked along with the warranty repair work. As an additional little bonus they swapped out 4 of the ugly poorly-functioning extended magazines with regular ones without batting an eye.

I had a P380 that did it in 50 ruonds. Just a bad magazine. Kahr doesn't make um,courst not sure that would matter. It happens. not often but we have sure read about it here. No doubt kahr will replace them with no questions asked either..

I talked with Ian @ Kahr and he said send it in with info and they'll send me another asap. It got mailed yesterday. Let's see how fast they can do a turn around.
