Gents and other members,

Let me start by saying this forum is awesome! Great information and insight with minimal bashing and BS...Thanks for that.

After much deliberation I chose the PM9093N for my CCW. I added rubberized decal grips, Pearce Grip Extensions and picked up two extra 6 rd mags for a total of 25 rounds in between reloading of mags.

I wish I found this forum before I started shooting as I would have followed the "proper prepping" instructions. Instead I picked it up, loaded it with some cheap Winchester 115 FMJ and headed to the range...

I have since fired over 400 rounds of five different types of ammo including some remanufactured junk FMJ, Winchester and Remington 115 GR FMJ, Winchester Ranger 115 JHP +P and 147 JHP SXT's here's what I have to show for it.

PERFECTION!

I am learning more about this little pistol every time I shoot it but for a novice shooter I think this gun is awesome. 20-22 of 25 rounds in a 4" bullseye at 25 feet consistantly.

NOT ONE:
Failure to fire
Failure to lock
Faulire to feed
Failure to eject
doublefeed or racking problem...
Even when hand-racking!

I know this gun is still a puppy and I still have plenty of time to experience issues but the blogs out there were HARSH when discussing the PM9 and it was a leap of faith going with the PM9 over the (MUCH) less expensive KelTec PF9 which reviewed just as well or better in many circles.

I have cleaned this gun only twice since I have gotten it and have just ordered some of the products that you all mention for keeping your Kahrs in great shape.

Thanks so much to you all for the great info - please keep it coming!

Also - If you are also a PA resident please call your Governor (Fast Eddy) Rendell and ask him to sign the recently passed PA Castle Doctrine bill that was placed on his desk last week for signature...

Thanks Jocko! Pleasure to be aboard! The determining factor between the Kahr and Kel Tec was the overall feel and fit and finish. The Kel Tec is a shooter - I have seen that first hand. But - some of the design elements of the Kel Tek were unappealing, namely the slide stop and mag release that I could not keep my fingers off of while firing. Again - I appreciate all of your insights, thanks again!

I think theres been some sort of mixup in the shipping department. Somehow they shipped you my gun. It happens sometimes. Please forward as soon as possible.

Glad you found us and more glad that little gem is working so well for ya.

Happy that you find the forum awesome too. Theres some really good smart people here willing to help, enjoy successes and work out failures.
Unlike some others your correct in that bashing is very minimal and a little BS never hurt nobody, unless your referring to untruths or spreading incorrect rumors and stuff. Those usually don't last long around here either.

I'll go wait by the mailbox.

Bawanna,

All set. Be sure to clear any packing peanuts from the chamber and let me know when the eagle has landed.

All kidding aside I have enjoyed reading many of your threads and responses! Ribbing and ball-busting are always welcomed here! The half-truths and opinions masked as facts are what have turned me off from most other forums...

Thanks again!

I carried a P11 and later a PF9 for three years before I discovered Kahr. Immediately after buying my first Kahr, a CW9, a year or two ago, I sold the PF9 and never looked back. It was somewhat ammo finicky and not much fun to shoot.

I usually carry my PM45 now, but I'm in the market for a PM9 to replace the CW9 which was stolen in August. I want something slightly smaller plus I have 2000 rounds of 9mm and most of my 9mm guns were included in the theft. I'm glad yours is good, but I would expect nothing else.

O'Dell,
Sorry to hear about the theft/burglary! Glad to hear you stepped up to the Kahr and were happy with that decision... I labored over that desion for almost two months! KelTec PF9 AND a Ruger SR9 or just the Kahr... The only down side is that every now and then I feel the need to untuck the shirt to see that bad piece of hardware sitting in the minituck. You can honestly forget it's there sometimes... To think before I got this Kahr I was considering carrying an all stainless CZ 75... A great gun (IMO, FWIW) but way too big for me to conceal well. Thanks for the response - I look forward to gleaning a lot of knowledge from all the seasoned members/owners like yourself. I am an information whore. Sad but true...

I belong to a lot of firearms forums and Kahrs come off about as well as any other gun ... some folks have problems, most don't ... any machine can have issues and folks who would never touch another Kahr because they had problems with one are boobs, IMHO ... it's like hearing about a lemon Chevy and deciding every one that ever came off the line is crap ... I've been carrying my PM9 since I got my CHL back in 2004 and it has NEVER failed in any way since new ... that's good enough for me ...

I am at the 1700 round mark with my PM9 with no negative issues whatsoever.Other than cleaning and lubing regularly the only maintenance I`ve done is to replace the recoil spring at around the thousand round mark.Even then I hadn`t had any problems.I just did it for prevention purposes. The PM9 is probably the most discussed and most loved Kahr on the forum.Glad you are pleased with yours and I`m looking forward to hearing more from you about your experiences with it.We all learn from each other here and your input is as valued as anyones. This is a fun place and we`re happy you found us.:)
