What is the correct procedure to correctly headspace a replacement barrel on a 1928? After replacing mine, it does not want to fire the round after chambering( 8 of 10 times (?), but it will eject when it does fire or if you manually pull back on the bolt. TIA

You will first need a headspace plug gauge. They are available from Doug Richardson (http://thompsonsmfg.com) - he is a great source for everything to do with your Thompson Model 1928. Then you will need to follow these instructions (http://www.thompsonsmg.com/HEADSPACE%20PLUG%20GAGE%20INSTRUCTIONS.htm). Good luck.
