A few days early but I don't want to forget. These free for all threads seem to go well and cover alot of ground that don't fit any place else.
For any of you new guys looking for a diving board to jump in, perhaps this is a good place to hum a few bars about yourself. If your pondering a new Kahr and don't own one, no matter, this is a good place to come on in and we'll talk about it. Many of us lacking funds for the next one enjoy spending other peoples money very much.

Good place to talk about both kinds of guns Kahrs and 1911's and both calibers 45 and 30-06. Kind of like both kinds of music Country and Western.
I gest.

I'm also curious how others new and old discovered Kahrtalk in the first place. I know when it first started I was invited to join, got the free hat for signing up and then kind of shoved it to the back burner. Decided they gave me a free hat I best take a look see about what all this forum stuff is about and as the say the rest is history.

Maybe this question is worthy of a thread all it's own. Maybe I'll do that. I don't start many threads, guess I'm too busy jacking other peoples. I gotta work on that.

Enjoy and let the games begin.

Hmmm, "Decembers Deceptive, Defer, Deviate Free for all." So, which are you? The chief "deceiver", "deferer" (procrastinator), or "deviant" this month? Now don't answer that until 12/1!

I'm a fan of the 1911 and .45 caliber handguns in general. I guess that's why my first Kahr was a CW45. I went through some teething pains with it, but it's chugging right along now and I carry it quite often when going well-heeled. Here are my current favorite 45s:
http://i55.tinypic.com/x5624n.jpg
http://i52.tinypic.com/wgyoi0.jpg

Sadly, I don't own a 30-06. I've nothing against the caliber; I just haven't stumbled across something chambered for it that has struck my fancy (though I do like the look of the various M1903s). I have other .30 caliber rifles and find that I have started carrying them more often in my vehicles. Actually, I've started carrying a rifle when out a foot in the desert. Anybody else keeping a long arm close at hand these days?
Here's my "walk the dogs in the desert" gun:

I do when I'm not in town. Go to the country, and my 308, 8mm Mauser or Nagant goes as well. Sometimes my shot gun as well, but always a pistol on the hip too.

LOL, I guess so:) It was actually an incident that occurred when I was out with my dogs that made me rethink my equipment choices for certain areas.

Our local sporting goods store ,Big 5, not sure how wide spread they are have Mosin Nagant rifles on sale for 89 bucks. I'm hoping to get my wheels back so I can go take a look. I got the M44 short rifle a few years ago from the same place and it was in prime shape. I have the rifle, it's pretty rough but still cool. I'm hoping they have some that are as nice as that M44.
They had Garands a few years ago but they were about as rough as I've ever seen and still wanting top dollar.

Bawanna, did you find your missing Mosin Nagant rifle?

Yup I found her. I put it in a different case for some unknown reason. I scheduled an appointment for an ahlzeimers test but now can't remember when it was.

My wife saw me looking at the sales add for the Big 5 sale on them and she asked if I wanted one. I told her yes. I thought maybe she'd hid it to see if I would notice it missing. Didn't occur to me that she wouldn't know the difference between a Mosin Nagant and a Abram tank which is quite handy sometimes now that I ponder it.

The Gun is Civilization

by Maj.. L. Caudill USMC (Ret)

Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that's it.

In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force.

The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.

There are plenty of people who consider the gun as the source of bad force equations. These are the people who think that we'd be more civilized if all guns were removed from society, because a firearm makes it easier for a [armed] mugger to do his job. That, of course, is only true if the mugger's potential victims are mostly disarmed either by choice or by legislative fiat--it has no validity when most of a mugger's potential marks are armed.

People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the many, and that's the exact opposite of a civilized society. A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly.

Then there's the argument that the gun makes confrontations lethal that otherwise would only result in injury. This argument is fallacious in several ways. Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser.

People who think that fists, bats, sticks, or stones don't constitute lethal force watch too much TV, where people take beatings and come out of it with a bloody lip at worst. The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level.

The gun is the only weapon that's as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weight lifter. It simply wouldn't work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn't both lethal and easily employable.

When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation.. and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

Since I'm so computer illiterate I can't add pictures to a PM I shall post some pictures of your SP101 grip inserts for your perusal here where I live in the anything goes, say whats on your mind without fear of punishment or recriminations or being drug behind the car.

The lighter colored panels are I believe and I'm guessing here Sanchez Rosewood. The darker near black is Ebony.
The Rosewood are basically done and fit extremely well. The ebony fit good but not great and are not checkered. I may start over on those, just don't meet the stringent quality control of the Bawanna Grip Factory.

Let me know what you think, I can send the Rosewood to hold ya over till I get some ebony redone. Life is too short to carry an ugly gun.

FWIW. In my hand much as I love ebony I'm partial to the lighter contrast of the Rosewood, but thats just me and I like contrast and flashy.

Think Elvis. I gave a package to the postman, should be in Texarcana in a day or two I'd guess. I guessed at the postage and put lots of stamps on so should get there I hope. I'm so out of touch. I'm sticking stamps on and the wife said you know those are 44cents, heck I thought they were 29. Don't say how much they are worth. Just something about Forever. Guess that's how long it takes to deliver or something.

Those Nagants may be ugly as home made sin, but I think they get a bum rap. Mine is a 1943 Izzy, and it SHOOTS. I got the M44 a few years ago at Big 5. I dont think it was ever issued. It's near perfect. I stopped last night and our local store was out of the rifle version. Did say they were getting more. They did have the sniper version , can't remember exactly what the model designation was. It was 400. Wanted to look at it but I was afraid the nimrod behind the counter would drop it on his foot so I'll look next time I check on the other. I didn't see anything special about it sitting in the rack but had to be something. Big difference between 89 bucks on sale and 400.

Every time my friend shoots my Nagant he'll make a remark about how hard the the action is to work. I just call him a soft imperialist pig and hand him back his Springfield.:p His 1903A3 is a great rifle, but he can't tout how smooth it's action is becuase I usually have my Enfield No. 4 Mk 1 handy. It's all good fun, he usually has his Mauser along as well; one of us needs to get an Ariska to have a good WW II bolt gun shoot off.:)

Bawanna,
I believe most of the $400 "PU" snipers (http://www.jgsales.com/product_info.php/rifles/russian/p/mosin-nagant-91-30-sniper-rifle-with-scope%2C-7-62x54r-caliber-/cPath/209_261/products_id/1541) are replicas/parts guns put together by the importer (http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?75606-quot-Real-quot-Mosin-Nagant-Sniper) (though some maybe put together on an ex-sniper rifle (http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinFeatures08.htm)). I believe the price difference is due to the labor involved and (mostly) the costs of the optic and mount. For example: PU scope/mount packages sell in the $250 to $ 350 range on ebay.

I agree, the way this rifle was set in the rack in the back I couldn't see a scope or any of the accessories that would make it a sniper. They may have been there I just couldn't see them and I didn't ask to hold it since I didn't have near enough money for it and I probably would have wanted it.
If it's still there when they get in others I'll take a closer look.

I have a #1 MK 3 Enfield in .308. Yes it's an Ishapore. That rifle is scary accurate though, and smooth too. I polished up the bearing surfaces, and I think even I went too far; I cracked the stock it is so smooth. (Remember the Enfields are a **** on close) I also have a 38/42 Turkish Mauser. If I get some taller sights for it, it will be a sweet rifle as well, in spite of being longer than a whore's dream. I would love to get a Springfield. It's on the list of things I will acquire, but right now it's behind a CETME, an SKS, and an M1 carbine among other things. I was thinking about doing like Coffield did and taking a drill rifle and making it a 22. Might be fun for a minute, but I like 30-06 better.

Hi, guys. I got back Tuesday afternoon and have been trying to get caught up on household stuff... washing the clothes, putting stuff away, and shopping for groceries and other "necessities". I haven't ordered anything online for too long.

Bawanna', I noticed your new avatar and wondered if you could detect me lurking "invisible" here. I figured you had some special powers with your exalted position. :) I haven't had a real chance to see what I've missed for the last two weeks.

I stayed up all night and joined FaceBook, renewing an acquaintance from nearly 30 years ago at Dyess AFB (Abilene, Texas). I was stationed there from '74 to '83. The acquaintance is the hot wife of a couple who were our friends back then... she's a real Southern Belle. I told her that I still have that image of her wearing a real Southern Belle dress to a party... with impressive frontal display... burned in my mind. She looks a bit like Marg Helgenberger on CSI now. Her hubby just retired from the airlines and they are coming down this way in the Spring, so the reacquaintance is fortuitous.

We had a great time in Southern Illinois and I didn't run afoul of the Law. I was assured by several people that the southern area isn't like Crook County and the northern part of the state. They keep trying to get concealed carry there. I talked to one of the employees at Dunn's Sporting Goods and my new Father-in-Law. I left the PM9 and ammo locked up in the safe in my room... Super 8 Motel. I bought a Blackhawk #3 pocket holster for my P380 there and tried it with my PM9... seems to fit both, but prints too much in the shorts I wear with the shortest inseam I can find... usually 6" or less. I wanted a pocket holster for for the flexibility. That one was listed for the KelTec and Ruger .380's, so I figured it would work... $9.99... retail, I guess.

Well, I had better get moving here. I took a short nap and need to get a few things. I'll try to catch up a bit and start participating a bit in a few days. I'm still behind on my favorite comics, too. :D I did miss you guys!

Cheers!

Wynn :)

My neighbor found out that her dog ( a Schnauzer) could hardly hear, so she took it to the veterinarian. The vet found that the problem was hair in the dog's ears. He cleaned both ears, and the dog could then hear fine. The vet then proceeded to tell the lady that, if she wanted to keep this from recurring, she should go to the drug store and get some "Nair" hair remover and rub it in the dog's ears once a month.

The lady went to the drug store and bought some "Nair" hair remover. At the register, the pharmacist told her, "If you're going to use this under your arms, don't use deodorant for a few days."

The lady said, "I'm not using it under my arms."

The pharmacist said, "If you're using it on your legs, don't shave for a couple of days."

The lady replied, "I'm not using it on my legs either. If you must know, I'm using it on my Schnauzer."

The pharmacist says, "Well, in that case, stay off your bicycle for about a week."

Navigator
The scene is sometime in the old era when cockpits had round dials plus flight engineers and navigators. The crusty old-timer
captain is breaking in a brand new navigator.
The captain opens his briefcase, pulls out a .38 and rests it on the glare panel.
He asks the navigator, "Know what this is for?"
"No, sir," replies the newbie.
"I use it on navigators that get us lost," explains the captain, winking at his first officer.
The navigator then opens his briefcase, pulls out a .45 an sets it on his chart table.
"What's THAT for?" queries the surprised captain.

"Well, sir," replies the navigator, "I'll know we're lost before you will."

Isn't that the truth! Been there, done that... knew we were lost before the pilot! We didn't carry guns on many flights, though. I was in the B-52's during peacetime and they stuck the nav team in the bottom of the plane with no windows... and, of course, we had to tell the pilots where to go.
Dang, I just got up from a nap and was watching the American Country Awards. Alan Jackson came on and was singing a medley of his songs. I'm still sniffling from "Where were you when the world stopped spinning"... turning, whatever.
Dang, I guess I'm gettin' a message from our newest moderator. He likes seeing the lurkers that think they're invisible.
I missed the first half-hour... not sure who I missed, but I did see Reba sing and Toby Keith got an award. I knew who they were talking about before they got to his name.

They might come in handy if you're cruising within pirate range on the other side of the world... or want to mingle with the polar bears or grizzlies. Those pirates are ranging farther and farther and not just Africans like the Somalis. I'll just stay home and cling to my guns... not that religious... mainly believe in the "Golden Rule", but Cole Younger's corollary as well... "Do unto others BEFORE they do unto you."

So I roll up to the dinner table last night and the missus is eyeballing my cbob on my hip which is usually there as I don't usually have time to change into evening atire until after the evening repast (that means feed bag jocko).

I just let her look wondering whats going thru her head. Finally she points and asked if I know that the hammer of my gun is back (can't say that C word here). First I of course acted all shocked but conceded to let her know it was all ok.
I told her I was quite proud that she knew what a hammer was. She apparently still wasn't pleased I got no extra bread with my second cup of water.
She has shot and has no problem with me and guns obviously but she's not avid. The boys nearly fell out of their chairs.

Straight from the creek (crick for you country fellas). Sometimes she even puts them skinny little noodles in there that swells up when you boil em. Top Ramudas or something such like that.
Definitely a shortage of red meat in my diet, the Beagles startin to look tasty to me.
We'll get thru this we really will.

I had a big oops today! While it's getting cooler lately, the sun has been out the last few days so I've raked leaves. Yesterday it was the back yard, so today the front. I'm out there raking away when my new neighbor comes home. We getting to know each other a little at a time but are sociable, so he comes over and we chat a while.

Finally he asks me "Are you expecting trouble?" Oh oh, sure enough I left my outer shirt in the house and my gun was sitting out in the open. I say "Oops, I forgot my shirt, and quickly move it to my pocket." He says "don't worry about it, I carry mine whenever I'm home," and proceeds to tell me a story.

Anyway, I found out he's cool but I have to get in the habit of covering or just using my pocket holster. Now to take him shooting and get his brass "My precious" (in my best Gollum voice). It will be funny if he turns out to be a reloader.

Living in CA, I'm sure you're happy the neighbor turned out to be a fellow gun owner. :D Don't know where you are there but I hear the northern part is fairly conservative. Beautiful state, too bad so many anti-gun folks live there. Anyway, glad you're neighbor turned out cool.

After yesterday I'm using my pocket holster and it's ok, especially for yard work. I spent quite a bit of time with the new neighbor today and learned he and his dad used to hunt birds a lot and reload shotgun shells. like many, after his dad passed away he doesn't go much. I explained I no longer hunt and he understood that. He doesn't shoot much but I think I can get him to the range after a bit.

Well another sad tale of the Bawanna household. I'm sitting at the computer obediently following my wifes instructions last night by ordering 2000 bullets from Precision Delta (she was afraid she'd get the wrong ones) so Santa can get more traction with his sleigh and give more of a work out to his reindeer. Life is good. Website pops up when Murphy rears his ugly head.

She says the wall in #2 sons bedroom is wet and icky and moldy. Huh? So I immediately avoid a arse whooping and go investigate. I inquire of son, how long has this been like this, his response a long time. And you didn't think it was an issue. Apparently not.

Well the water heater is stuffed in the corner of his closet just the other side of the nasty wall and of course it's kaput, leaking, explains why the laundry room floor got icky underneath also. I thought that was the freezer needing a defrost. Anyhow, repair man shows up awhile ago and says it's special (thats repairman language for expensive) because it's a mobil home and it will be like 700 if he can find one. I thought to myself, now that's special!!!!!

So anyhow I changed my wish list from 2000 bullets to 1 water heater, probably about the same weight, same workout for the reindeer, good traction, not as enjoyable but 2 out of 3 ain't bad. As TD2K said and I've said a million times, the joys of owning your own home.

So how is your day?

My day was not quite as bad as yours but very frustrating. I worked on some new fangled fancy imported lock on a yacht door for over three hours and couldn't get it to work consistantly. I finally locked myself out and thru up my hands in disgust. I'm expecting a phone call any minute..:(

I never did understand why some people insist on buying hot water heaters. But, I used to wonder how much it cost those folks in Hot Springs Arkansas to heat their water that came from the springs.

Oh, well.... time to try to kill a few of those dead brain cells off.....uh, I mean weak buffalos.... need to strengthen the herd:D

Some day I will get back to brewing again and rid myself of the need to buy the nasty generic swill.

If I do get back to my beloved brewing before the end of winter, I will see to it that you will receive a shipment of "preserves" (actually barley soup that just happened to somehow...uuuuhhh... ferment....I mean sour.....) on the big green (they call it brown- I see green) truck. There's absolutely nothing better than a stout (not characteristic of the style), high gravity Porter after a big steak dinner...or Spam....or no dinner:D. I used to love my winter Porters and Belgian Stout during the cold months.... the "Browns" in the spring, free for all in the summer, and "Wheats" in the fall.

Been 3-4 years since I had my normal 6 week brew days.... haven't brewed since summer 2009.:(

Home Brewing is the ONLY thing jimmy carter (note the use of all lower case) managed to pass legislatively that was worth while.

I was rather late to the home brew party, as I only discovered the secrets in 1995. Being a small town hick (and damned proud of the moniker), I was blown away when I visited an on site brew pub in Fredrecksburg, TX, and drank my first draft of Summer Wheat Ale... in the presence of the beautiful mash tuns, in all their shining glory. Having just gotten into the world of the "www", I came home and started doing a bit of research. Within a month I found that I could not only legally brew at home 200 gallons of beer per month/per adult in household, I discovered a homebrew shop within 30 miles of my home. Two weeks later I had an "intermediate level" American Wheat brew in the fermenter. A couple of months later it was nothing but "advanced level" (all grain) brews, and lots of really fun, productive experiments for several years.

It does take time....often lots of time. I spend no less than 8 hours on "brew day", then a week or so later 3-4 hours on transfer from primary fermenter to secondary fermenter (counting all the time necessary to sterilize everything and subsequent clean-up), then another week or so later (depending on fermentation progress) another 2-3 hours bottling or kegging.....then the wait for aging...... My opinion is about six weeks minimum from boil pot to table.

If it's done right, you just can't beat it. You can do the basic "beginner's level" home brewing with syrup or dry extracts and match the taste quality with almost any specialty brew or import brew on the market.

For me, home brewing met all the requirements I had as a kid for a "chemistry set"..... there's a lot of applied chemistry and biology built in to the brewing process. It wasn't until my grandfather was long gone, and I got interested in brewing, that I remembered him telling me about his encounters with "home brewing" during prohibition that I really understood some of the "chemistry". Funny stuff happened back in the "old days".

surv

Oh... and just to add to the misery..... the current idiocy of adding grain alcohol to gasoline (which has proved to be a total flop), has drastically increased the cost of all things dependent on grain... not only beer/ale, but bread and everything else using corn, wheat, barley, etc!

Sounds like a tasty science project to me. I see the truck as green too. I sometimes remember to call it brown but usually I call it the way I see it and look dumb. Blame it on the hops I guess.

Hope you get back into it, be fun to give it a taste although I sure am not a conisieur by any stretch. My taste buds do seem to work normally.

I got enough powder to last a spell and probably primers to so once them bullets get here I'll be in good shape. I appreciate your efforts in my behalf.

I don't know much about mold except I got alot of it around here. I'm gonna let it dry real good, once the new heater is installed, then prime it with that Kilz primer and repaint. Not sure what I'll do about the carpet small area. Wife wanted to replace the carpet in that room anyhow.
I need to start at that end of the house and just work my way to the other end and make things right.
Paint, new plumbing thru out, just listen to myself and not others around here and get it right.
It's just that darn nuisance money. Never enough.

Is it January yet? :40:

December is killing me. Had two rather large, detailed projects kind of in the mill since October, and both were officially ordered last week..requesting completion before the end of year. Another for an engineer I have partnered dozens (actually many, many dozens) of projects with over the last 20 years called last week with a three week project he needs 25% completion on by the end of next week... and to top that off, a general contractor that occassionally calls on us to decihper the combination of the provided surveyor's data that has been degraded to unusability by the engineers and architects needs us to build a control network for them to construct an addition to a rural high school complex about 40 miles away.... and that ain't counting the little stuff we alread had to make about 50% of our December time. Oh, and mrs surv is busy every night trying to keep up with Christmas shopping for our responsibilities, as well as my Mom's shopping, and Sunday school parties, programs at the church, choir practice, her social group of hens, etc. I've had a cold and fever for the last 3-4 days, and catching grief from my Mom because I may try to opt out of a Friday/Saturday trip next week to my neices graduation from Sam Houston State so I can take care of the real things. And to top it off, for the last 7 years since my Dad died, we've had the priviledge of doing the family Christmas Eve gathering at our house. I haven't even thought about a Christmas tree yet, and we ain't even thought about digging out the decoration stuff... wherever it is.

As much as I hated the 70's in general, life was much simpler then.

Yep, I'm very fortunate to finally have a backlog of work to do, since the last two years have totally sucked, so I guess I shouldn't whine.

I'm hoping I'll be in a lot better mood when Bawanna announces the January thread:D

Anyone know of any caches of old Mausers or anything going around this year at a good price, or anything like that I should be on the lookout for? Love buying those old Mausers, then seeing them selling for double or triple the price a few years later.
Haven't tried a Mosin-Nagant yet, usually see a few of those around for pretty cheap.

Theres apparently a huge new batch of Nagants just imported. Bud's had a ton of them and they sold out in about 3 days.
Some of our local sporting goods stores have them, I went to look and the one close by was out but getting more in. 89 bucks I think.
I got an M44 the short version with bayonet and the works a few years ago and it was like new. I have one but if these are nice as that M44 I'm gonna get another.

I dig mausers too, haven't seen any real deals on those around here lately but always got my eyes peeled.

A recent joint study conducted by the Department of Health and the Department of Motor Vehicles indicates that 23% of traffic accidents are alcohol related.

This means that the remaining 77% are caused by jerks who just drink coffee, carbonated drinks, juices, milk, water, and stuff like that.

Therefore, beware of those who do not drink alcohol. They cause three times as many accidents.

My dad bought property that had been home to a mining outfit. Got to mess around with a few rail cars and track, but the cool thing was the carbide lamps and many cases of carbide crystals. They don't work worth a diddle in in normal night with any light pollution, but understand if in an absolutely black mine they give out a dull light and you adjust to it.

The cans that survived my playing were eventually tossed out. I thought something would happen if I poured water in the can, but no kaboom.

Well guys I too am about to have a couple of plan changes. Which if things work out like I think they will I will own an AK, a 22 for my daughter, and a new 40 pocket sized pistol, by the first of the year. The pocket pistol won't be a Kahr, because that would be all I would be able to afford, and I need to get my daughter her first rifle, and I am excited about owning an AK. Funny thing a friend of mine told me when my daughter was still in the womb, he told me that I would have the only little girl that would be able to field strip an AK by the time she was four. She just turned three, strangely prophetic that.

AMEN TO THAT !!!!

This was in the Waco Paper on Nov. 18, 2010. I like this guy!

Put me in charge ...
Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tats and piercings, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your “home” will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition you need to work for entitlements. You will either present a check stub from a job each week (and a drug test) or you will report to a “government” job (and take a drug test). It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, serve or cook soup in a soup kitchen or whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good.”

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules.. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self esteem,” consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards people for continuing to make bad choices.

Put me in charge and I would make some changes.
