How did you discover Kahrtalk?

Just curious how everyone was introduced to kahrtalk. I received an email invite and followed up on it. Wondering how people are finding us now days, both new and old members.

I posted a question on a revolver board asking if anyone there carried a Kahr? (I was carrying a J frame at the time.) I was not so politely told that such questions were better suited to Kahrtalk. I traded one of my model 60's for my first Kahr. A K9 and never looked back. Ironically, several responses were positive. Some of those revolver guys also carried Kahrs. :D

I was looking for a PF-9 and ended up buying a CW-9. I knew a little about Kahr and it was highly recomended to me by a LGS owner.

After I bought it I started looking for the forum and well, here I am.

Before I bought my CW40 I was googling for Kahr problems, and came across this site. I was considering buying the Kel-Tec PF-9 due to it's size and was doing research on it, and reading about all the problems that can come with a Kel-Tec.
I then googled Kahr Problems, and found a post from here and came to visit.
After nosing around thru Kahrtalk, it seemed there were far fewer unhappy Kahr owners than with the Kel-Tec and a whole lot less "I've had it with this gun, trading it in". I was introduced to the Kahr line of pistols when a friend let me shoot his CW45. It had the look and feel of a quality weapon, and after doing my research I went out and got the CW40 instead of the PF-9. I'd rather shoot a .40 anyway, and the size difference between the two pistols is negligible.

I was carrying an S&W model 60 & I ask friends at the gun club, clays & shotguns, if they knew of a lighter carry gun. One said that I might check into a Kahr. I had never heard of a Kahr. I googled it that night & found this sight. Liked it, so I went to the gunshop the next day & asked to see an PM9. They did not have one, but the owner was on the phone at the time. He heard me ask. He said that he just found one. I said, " I'll take it." It's been on me every since.

I was on another forum and there was a thread that linked to a thread here. I like it here and find it to be friendly and the folks very much Kahr and gun knowlable.

Similar story for me. I was on XDTalk and had my heart set on an XD9 subcompact. After lots of reading and researching, kept coming across PM9 as a good alternative (most positive, some negative) and got sent here for further reading. I'm thankful to be here, and thankful to have been directed here.

I was looking for a small light cc. Found Kahr's web site amd wanted to know more about them so I started looking at forum's. Found this one and it was by far the most informative one I had been to. I really enjoy this site.:D

When I bought my P380 (my second Kahr) the salesman gave me one of the "Thin is Sexy" booklets. Saw the address for kahrtalk in that and decided to check it out.

My first gun was a cw9,sold it a few years back,had the chance to buy it back and did.I am really glad to have it as my EDC over my G26.I am on GT also and followed a link from there.Glad to be here too.M
