Good for them! Anything that gives our boys and girls an edge, I am all for! Hope that sends a few more dirt bags headed for a dirt bed. ;)

Amen to that. We just gotta make darn sure they don't get any of these things. Nobody but us.

a friggin tank at 1000 yards will do a much better job. $35 grand for one hand held weapon seems way over the line, and I would just hate to guess the cost of those rounds each. I would be very surpirsed if the military buys 12,000 of them.
If the enemy is behidn a damn wall, u just remove the wall with some of the heavy equipment and even hand held equipment that we have now..

Friggin tanks cost a lot more than 35K.
Removing the wall by hand will take a long time, and leave our boys exposed, dependant upon others to watch their back while they cut down a wall that the enemies are directly behind.
Look at it like the Javelin missle. The shoulder launcher costs over 100K, and each missle over 30K.
Pricey, but a helluva lot less expensive, and faster to put into action, than other current methods.

but we already have an over supply of tanks and other wall busting weapons...no0t disputing its effecrtiveness, just the over all costs when we no doubt have weapons totake care of this stuff to...

portable quick deployment worth every penny !
Tanks don’t work so well in villages nestled within the mountains of Afghanistan. Plus, when the POTUS/SECDEF denies heavy armor to the troops for political reasons (think Clinton and Mogadishu) this provides an alternate and PC-acceptable solution.

I am with you Jocko! Gotta love that Abrams. Makes nice short work of bad guys. Unfortunately, Aray is right. Not the best terrain for tanks and you know the Clinton syndrome may be at play. :32:
Now if it were me, tactical nuclear weapons could clear the entire area up nicely. I have often said, if I were president on 9/11, Bin Laden would have seen the flash on 9/12....and that would have been the last thing he saw!

I have long been a proponent for turning those who hide and let them hide into glowing piles of glass. Then again I think that foreign policy as a super power looks like this Iran, N Korea, and all who need a good thumping, here it comes. When the world starts crying ask who else wants one. Then again it may be more fun to nuke Iran, N Korea telling them that we have the weapons that they seek and are using them. When they ask using as in present tense, then we point out the shiny dot in the sky that is inbound. That ought to get a rise out of them.

GRRR so they took the grenade launcher off the OICW.... and up sized it a bit it seems.
What happens when the batt dies in the lazer range finder control center?
