I ran across this corrosion resistance test (http://www.6mmbr.com/corrosiontest.html) and thought that forum members would like to see it. There are so many protectants on the market today, this seem like a fair and equitable way to compare their effectiveness. Here's a photo from the test (shows much better in the article):

Fantastic information! Thank you! I have had issues with this in the past, at more than one residence. It is amazing how different moisture/humidity can be between different houses in the same climate.

i want to see a test like this, but add heat.
oil, maybe bake it a ~200º, then test for rust. im in search of something that doesn't cook off/dry up.

Great Info. Wish they had tested more, but this is good stuff.

The test was run at 100 degrees F. and 100% humidity. At the junction of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers (some of you have probably been there) it can be 130 degrees F. and 100% humidity - that's pretty extreme.
Before I discovered Eezox through Seecamp, I exclusively used Miltec-1 (not just because I get it free). I went through all the steps of application and heating as directed. When I started using Eezox, I noticed fewer signs of corrosion under the slides of my carbon steel guns, and absolutely no galling of stainless. Also, my very tightly fitted 1911's seem to run better on it. The comparison of test results between Militec-1 and Eezox was an eye opener.
I don't care what brand it is, as long as it works for me in my environment. I've narrowed my choice down to M-Pro7 cleaners, Eezox lube and protectant, and TW25B for trigger mechanisms.

i originally bought some eezox at a gun show from a guy who showed me a salt water test he did that blew me away: treated 1/2 rifle with eezox & other 1/2 with remoil, then sprayed saltwater mist and put in damp basement. difference with eezox was night & day. just ordered a quart from midway on closeout special. great price but their shipping sucks!

I've been using the sentry solutions tuf coat and the molybdenum disulfide on the hard wearing surfaces for a totally dry lubrication. I have not had any problems but I would like to hear the opinions of others so, please chip in.
