Hi Everybody,

I have been tinkering with my CW45 and have made a couple of
modifications. I first modified 3 1911 officers mags (6 round) in
order to have a flush mount mag. The slide lock works fine and
the mags operate perfectly. I also called Kahr and they sent me
a new slide lock and I then radiused the end of it so they gun
would slide easier into my kydex holster. I have ran approximately
500 rounds with only a couple of malfunctions early on. I really like
this gun and carry it always.

Looks good. I'm really happy with the modified officer's mags. I'm glad I did it.

What are you carrying it in, and where on the body?

Hi,

I carry it in a Cross-Breed Supertuck at 4:00

After reading this post i tried a Kimber 6 round 1911 magazine in my CW45. It fit without any modification and hand cycled rounds perfectly. I do not know if the slide will lock back on the last shot. I will find out this weekend. The generic 7 round 1911 mags I tried would not fit at all:mad:

franco45,
Some 1911 magazines need to have material removed from the magazine catch window or in front of the feed lips (possibly both areas) to fit and function in Kahr .45ACP pistols. You can find the details here: http://kahrtalk.com/p-cw-series-pistols/3317-cw45-p45-flush-fit-magazine-updated.html (see page 7 for info on the magazine that camsden1 is using:))
Regards,
Greg
