As for the watermelon shooting, my son's academy experience came back in a flash. He is an excellent shot but one exercise was to shoot a bad guy without hitting the hostage. My son said he kept telling himself "don't shoot the hostage" over and over and shot her every time. The instructor about fell on the ground laughing at him.

I told him about a series of management seminars I attended by Lou ??? that had a premise to focus on what you want to hit, not avoid. He told many stories but the one that hit me hard was a kid riding a bicycle trying to miss a small rock on the path. He focuses so hard on the rock he can't help but run over it.

Son did fine hitting bad guys from then on. He's a great guy, my son! If I'm held hostage he can take the shoot any time.

Well I'm sure glad they haven't changed my category, that 0-25 is so easy to remember. I'm a little depressed that this gruesome twosome could be in a higher category than me but theres no explaining the system.

I'm glad the video wasn't real.....that said, there may be those impressionable folks who don't see the 2nd part and I fear, try to out do in some way the first fake video. I sure hope common sense rules the day.
