I have wanted to get a PM9 for some time now. My MK9 was a great gun. It was fine for pocket carry, but a little heavy for pocket carry; it is only slightly lighter than my M&P9c.
I found a guy locally who had a PM9 he wanted to trade for an MK9. I made the trade, and I am very pleased. It is a 2006 stainless PM9 (I'd have loved to get a DLC PM9, but I can always have the slide refinished at a later date). Serial number is VC32**, so there should be no barrel peening issues (checked with Kahr on this.)
I shot 122 rounds through it on Friday, 100 rounds Winchester White Box FMJ, and 22 rounds Federal FMJ. Both loads were 115 grain. The slide locked back once with rounds still in the mag, but I think it was operator error. I also had an issue with one magazine, but that was also operator error. I HATE the metal baseplates that come on the 6 rd. magazines. I ordered a P9 plastic baseplate (http://www.kahr.com/Pistol-Parts/Kahr-038P9-Magazine-Base.asp). If you sand down the top of it enough, you can use it on MK9/PM9 magazines - see pic below.

Apparently, I sanded the baseplate enough for the MK9, but not enough for the PM9. Twice the magazine released during firing. I took that mag out of the rotation, and had no additional problems.
The only thing I want to change at this point is the sights. The bar-dot sights are OK, but I prefer 3-dots; I'lll get either Meprolight or Trijicon night sights.
All in all, it's an excellent carry pistol. Some more FMJs through it, and 100 rounds of Gold Dots, and it's ready for carry.
