View Full Version : TSA protects our country from our returning GI's... HA!!

I just got this in an email. I certainly believe it's possibly true:

Fire this TSA group now......

Subject: Welcome home, boys! TSA interrogates our soldiers

Stupid beyond belief! True account by one of our best.....

"I witnessed the
following:

When we were on our way back from Afghanistan , we flew out of Baghram
Air Field. We went through customs at BAF, full body scanners (no
groping), had all of our bags searched, the whole nine yards.
Our first stop was Shannon , Ireland to refuel. After that, we had to
stop at Indianapolis , Indiana to drop off about 100 folks from the
Indiana National Guard. That's where the stupid started.

First, everyone was forced to get off the plane-even though the plane
wasn't refueling again. All 330 people got off that plane, rather than
let the 100 people from the ING get off. We were filed from the plane to
a holding area. No vending machines, no means of escape. Only a
male/female latrine.

It's probably important to mention that we were ALL carrying weapons.
Everyone was carrying an M4 Carbine (rifle) and some, like me, were also
carrying an M9 pistol. Oh, and our gunners had M-240B machine guns. Of
course, the weapons weren't loaded. And we had been cleared of all ammo
well before we even got to customs at Baghram, then AGAIN at customs.

The TSA personnel at the airport seriously considered making us unload
all of the baggage from the SECURE cargo hold to have it reinspected.
Keep in mind, this cargo had been unpacked, inspected piece by piece by
U.S. Customs officials, resealed and had bomb-sniffing dogs give it a
one-hour run through. After two hours of sitting in this holding area,
the TSA decided not to reinspect our Cargo-just to inspect us again:
Soldiers on the way home from war, who had already been inspected,
reinspected and kept in a SECURE holding area for 2 hours. Ok, whatever.
So we lined up to go through security AGAIN.

This is probably another good time to remind you all that all of us were
carrying actual assault rifles, and some of us were also carrying
pistols.

So we're in line, going through one at a time. One of our Soldiers had
his Gerber multi-tool. TSA confiscated it. Kind of ridiculous, but it
gets better. A few minutes later, a guy empties his pockets and has a
pair of nail clippers. Nail clippers. TSA informs the Soldier that
they're going to confiscate his nail clippers. The conversation went
something like this:

TSA Guy: You can't take those on the plane.

Soldier: What? I've had them since we left country.

TSA Guy: You're not suppose to have them.

Soldier: Why?

TSA Guy: They can be used as a weapon.

Soldier: [touches butt stock of the rifle] But this actually is a
weapon. And I'm allowed to take it on.

TSA Guy: Yeah but you can't use it to take over the plane. You don't
have bullets.

Soldier: And I can take over the plane with nail clippers?

TSA Guy: [awkward silence]

Me: Dude, just give him your damn nail clippers so we can get the f**k
out of here. I'll buy you a new set.

Soldier: [hands nail clippers to TSA guy, makes it through security]
To top it off, the tsa demanded we all be swabbed for "explosive
residue" detection. Everyone failed, [go figure, we just came home from
a war zone], because we tested positive for "Gun Powder Residue". Who
the F**K is hiring these people?

This might be a good time to remind everyone that approximately 233
people re-boarded that plane with assault rifles, pistols, and machine
guns-but nothing that could have been used as a weapon.
Can someone please tell me What the F**K happened to OUR country while we were gone?"

Can someone please tell me What the F**K happened to OUR country while we were gone?"

Seems too me, this is another fine example of the way we roll in this country......"F-ing Monons, doing the bidding of even bigger F-ing Morons."

These TSA idiots make Federal Flight Deck Officers go thru scanners just in case they wanna blow up the plane!!!! Holy Moley! Can we hire some Israelis to do our security please? We need some security officers with proven brain capacity and a politcal will to profile the bad guys. This jobs program called the TSA is a joke.

Just to make y'all feel warm and fuzzy, just think of all the cargo you're sitting over when you fly. .........I'm scared and not 'fraid to admit it.

Sweet Dreams, Jim

I fly once or twice a month; all the hoops we jump through does not make any of us any safer; just one big joke.

Obummer can't blame Bush for this stuff. It's all on Obama, Napolitano and the other people they have appointed. We need to profile. Every other country on Earth does it!!

Does anyone know whats ok to fly with and whats not. As far as finger nail clippers & such. My understanding was a 9in. screwdriver ok. No small finger nail clippers. I don't fly.

So a 9" screwdriver is not a weapon? But a nail clipper is? I'll bet we could make a better slasher movie with the screwdriver than the nail clipper.

I made one of the girls in our office a kuboton out of ebony. Beautiful thing, didn't have a lathe, did it all by hand with files, checkered the ends, put a loop on one end for keys.
They wouldn't let her take it on a plane, it was probably 4 1/2" or 5" long. Took it! Kid behind here had drum sticks in his back pocket, those were ok.

Some airport security guy is walking around with a really nice kuboton.

I don't fly either. I do profile. I do hate terrorist, and I'm not fond of TSA employees although I'm sure they are just doing what some idiot tells them to do.

I gotta stay away from this thread, I promised the boss I wouldn't get into these threads that get me boiling.

Bawanna, your story reminds me of a time customs confiscated one of my bottles of tequila upon reentry into country from Mexico. Man I was hot, they almost didn't let me back in. That was 1987. Imagine today if I spouted off at an agent like I did back then you'd not here from me for awhile. OK, I'm off this thread. Later...

Fear not. I heard that they are going to get the real idiots out of the TSA. They've got a new job for them.

They are being moved to healthcare.

Watch it on the healthcare digs! We save lives. We kill some too... well OK, statistically we may kill more than guns do.... but we save some too... haha.

Yep Bawana, what's a " kuboton"?

Bawanna
12-15-2010, 04:06 PM
Its a little round stick usually about 5" long. Many put a loop on the end to hang their keys on.
The man that invented it could do all the stuff we do with a kuboton with his fingers, a true Bruce Lee type.
YOu can use it for pressure points, jabbing, finger and hand holds. Its a pretty amazing little gadget.

I'm sure garyb knows way more about them than I do, it's been years since I saw some of the demonstrations.

It's a harmless looking stick but somebody that knows how to use one can make you cry momma in a fraction of a second.

I'll seek out a picture.

I resent that.....I've saved more than I've killed.

Hey I remembered another good use for WD. My son had a remote control car, fast darn thing. He built a little jump out of plywood to run it over. I went and got a can of WD and sprayed it all over the wood and lit it.
Wicked cool running the car thru the flames.

I'd spray it and let him do burn outs on the wood too, it was a fun afternoon.

Lets see here... owns guns, plays with fire, makes a kuboton that the TSA feels is threatning, promoted to moderator of a gun forum, I think I can give up my guns and just carry Bawanna around with me.

Last winter a TSA agent refused to let a Delta pilot take his flashlight on board. It 'could' be used as a weapon. Never mind that it was dark and he need it to do a preflight on the jet. The real kicker though was that this pilot had taken the training necessary to qualify as flight deck security, and was carrying a Colt 1911.

You give me far too much credit but I do come with wheels sort of like one of them rolling suitcases.

Now that makes perfect sense huh? Hope he didn't have any fingernail clippers in his pocket.

Lots of reminders here on why I prefer to drive.
