I have PM9 and am very pleased with it, I want to get a 45acp and am looking at the P and PM models. I carry AIWB so can't see much difference in size, like the P45 for 7 rounds verses the PM45 6 rounds.

Questions:

1. Is there a holster that will fit my PM9 and a PM45 or P45? (Crossbreed, Comp-Tac MTac type of holster)
2. Shooting and recoil must be very similar?
3. The P45 compares very well to say a Glock 36?
4. What self-defense ammo do you use in yours?

Check the Kahrs for sale area. JustinN (supermod) has a near virgin P45 with 4, count em 4 extra mags.
He tells me he's only shot about 30 rounds thru it, not sure how he can hold himself back that well. Maybe thats all the ammo he had?
I have a PM45 that I love, its had a few bumps in it's life but it's on track now.
I think you'd be pleased with either one.

I would go P45, u already have a pocket gun in the PM 9 if needed.

answer to #1, is no, certainly the PM9 will fit any PM45 holster but not snug.
#2, very similar, you will like shooting the 45 kahr.

can't answer #3, nor #4, I am sure some kahr 45 shooters will answer that for you. Nice gun,

I spaced on the questions.

I would say it's flatter, slimmer and more compact than a 36. I had a 36 for awhile and we got along fine. I sold it to a cop after 911 when everything glock dried up. He needed it and I didn't so sold him mine. Incidently I've done that about 5 other times also. New cops need a backup mine goes away till I get another. Hasn't been so good for them now that I've gone Kahr.

I use Speer Gold Dot in my PM45 but any good defense ammo should work fine for you. That are not terribly ammo sensitive and seem to thrive on warmer loads. I don't do +P in anything but they take em and like them too.

Jocko's comment in regards to you already having the pocket gun makes good sense too. The P might be a perfect running mate.

Not many P45 owners chimed in, the P45 is the way I am leaning, would all of you with either the PM45 or P45 buy the same gun again or would you for some reason make another choice?

If it were me I feel that I would be between the CW45 and the Pm since the p and cw are so close in size. I really like the CW series and can't justify the price increase. For me size is the biggest factor and the PM series is the smallest

CS534, how do you like the sights on the CW?

Have P45, very accurate, night sights plus CTL. A Little tooooo big for pocket carry. ON the belt is fine. Have gotten spoiled with PM40 CTL in pocket carry. Don't worry about shirt tuck-in etc. Would like to try PM45 pocket carry.
All that.... Answer to question--Yes I would buy again. The convenience of PM size for CCW is hard to get around though.

The sights seem to be just fine. I haven't yet upgraded to night sights but I actually like te standard sights on the CW. I bought the gun for off-duty use and can't get over how accurate it is..even with the more basic rifling. There is something to be said as far as trigger pull goes.. I switched to the CW40 from a glock 27 and find I am a much better shooter with it.

I have them both. For carry, I prefer the PM45...

I also have a CW45 and the sights are fine. Now, would I like some nice big dots on there or night sights? You betcha, but what they come with are fine.

I would like to have both, but I opted for the most compact since I was looking for the smallest size for CCW. I have the DLC with night sights and like the three-dot system better. I've never used the dot over bar sights.

If it were me, I'd go for the P45. I even carry my PM9 IWB most of the time - (in my pocket right now) and I think the P45 would carry very nicely also. My only concern about the PM45 is the limited capacity and the P45 covers that.

have to go with OLD LINCOLN on the pick. Neither is really pocketable, so why not go with a tad bigger gun . weight difference u will never notice, over all feel I would think the P45 would be nicer. One more round is nothing to sneeze at either.

My P45 Shoots very well, but I don't think I would enjoy it if it was much smaller, its a bit to hang on to now imo.

I have the P45 and purchased it after shooting a PM45. I like the P45 much better because I can get my whole hand on the thing. I also have a PM9 and find the combination very versatile.

As for AIWB carry of the P45, your waist my be different than mine (you should hope) but I think it would work for some, but not for me.
