Everybody ought to be up now, so let's hear about gifts of a shooting nature. Did Santa or his helpers leave anyone a really nice Kahr or any other weapon or shooting related goodies??
Please share with us less fortunates and show pictures! :D
Well, less fortunate is a bit strong. I'm pretty fortunate and very thankful for everything I/We have. After dinner last night, my wife and I watched Four Christmases... passed along to us from her mother, who got it last Christmas.
It was funnier than I expected... Christmas hell!... a couple trying to spend a portion of Christmas with all of their parents... divorced, and variously attached to new partners.

While I did not receive any shooting gear, I did school my oldest son on the virtues of a PM45 this morning. He mentioned he was looking for something smaller than his XDm45 so there was my opening. We just might be getting a new Kahr owner soon.

An early present (the 23rd), it's not a Kahr, but it is in my favorite caliber center-fire pistol cartridge:

Merry Christmas to all!

I can just pick up my PM45 and hold it and marvel at how small and compact it is! It's nice to get to carry it on the cooler days here now. I feel about 6 inches taller. :D
And Greg, nice! My favorite caliber. I shot the Auto Ordnance version recently and was amazed at how light the recoil seemed and that the bullets went where I aimed... much better than I can manage with my "little" PM45. I liked the rounded butt "improvement", too.
Thanks for sharing. I'm drinking a cup of French coffee from my new Keurig coffee maker... and listening to an Edith Piaf CD that my wife got me. Piaf helped write and premiered the song "La Vie en Rose", I believe. Wifey had to go to work, though, so I'm left to my own devices... PC, Stereo, coffee maker...... and soon the LAUNDRY!

Thanks Wynn:)
Very dear friends of ours gave my wife a Keurig coffee maker last year at Christmas. It has been one of the best gifts ever; not a day goes by that it doesn't get used.

I gave my honey a present this morning and I described it as her romantic present. When she opened it she found 100 rounds of AE .380 ammo for her P380. She giggled with delight......told you it was romantic.:yo:

Very! :). I got away with giving mine an appliance... a Stir Crazy Popcorn Machine. We love the microwave Movie Theaterversion of Pop Secret, but she's been wanting to try an air popper. Those make popcorn that tastes like styrofoam... and yes, I've tasted styrofoam. :D
Adding butter doesn't make it taste much better. :D

One big quantico "q" target. My son said they way you shoot dad, that one target shold get you through the year. For a minute there I thought I was hearing Bawanna talking to me..
sad thing is though, he is probaably right. My new years resolution is to get "good" with my PM9, same as it wa slast year and the year before.:33:

Well it was a banner year for Bawanna. I got some of the Dirty bird targets, 525 Remington 22 shells, finally my 2000 Precision Delta 45 FMJ's (look very nice I might add) and then the crowning glory, my son gave me a shiney new Savage rifle in 17HMR.
I've always been fond of the accu trigger, never owned one before and this one is absolutely sweet. Cant wait to give it a try.
I was truely a lucky boy this year and certainly no where near deserved the things I got.
Wife got me a mini laptop too so that will be something to figure out between loading bullets, fondling the savage etc.
Thats a sweet sweet 45 there GB, enjoy the heck out of that thing. Shes just beautiful.
Hey I got a big hunk of ebony and a huge hunk of lace wood. Pretty stuff.
Kind of feeling poorly today for unknown reasons but there will be some sawdust being made soon.
Merry Christmas you guys.

We haven't opened presents yet, but I know I got a Waffle Maker, Craftsman Drill Guide (like a portable drill press), a nice 15" T-Square, 1K used once 45 brass (en-route), and probably a little surprise package. If I add in all the stuff before Christmas, Santa is glad he didn't have to carry all that!

My lovely bride of 38 years always amazes and surprises me with a wonderful gift on Christmas morning this year was no different. I received a Guide GearŪ Concealment Jacket. It is very well made in the USA, out of a lined Canvas duck material and the built in holster is adjustable to fit a variety of handguns, Holds my K40 perfectly, not to bulky and very warm. I am indeed a very blessed and a very lucky man.

CT makes the best IMO. I had them on my J frame smith model 342 and shot the best 50 round group in my life. I still have the target in my garage. Sure shows ones shaking alot, makes me realize why I don't hit jack sh-t with my PM9 that has no CT on it.
am I seeing thngs or is that mag extension plastic peace stippled????

PackinPM9,
I can't imagine my PM9 without the CT laser, I am 100% sold on the fact that I shoot better with it than without, In a high stress situation I believe it would be even more of an advantage.

I was on the giving end, but just as much fun. I had been showing my son my range bag yesterday, and he really liked it. He was much surprised this morning to receive one from Santa.

Funny you should mention your J-frame. This Christmas, I gave my wife a CTC overmolded laser grip for her S&W 642 Airweight.
am I seeing things or is that mag extension plastic peace stippled????
I added Decal Grips to my PM9, and I took some of the left over material and covered the mag extension.

Santa brought me a PM4043 for Christmas (I must have been very good this year). Had my eye on Kahr for years just never made the leap. Been getting serious over the last couple months and began doing some research. I gotta say, I was shocked by all the negative reviews and Kahr-bashers out there. I could tell alot of the bad stuff I read on forums was from people who didn't know guns. From what I have read, I do expect some feeding / battery issues the first couple hundred rounds but I shoot a lot so getting the gun broke-in shouldn't be a problem. If the gun proves to be unreliable, I'll move on but I think the aparent quality and size will be a nice fit for me.

Clear your head of all those negative thoughts. A new gun can tell your inner feelings and mistrust and will mess with ya.
Hit the Infamous proper prep of your new kahr thread and also the lube chart in the tech section.
Run it perhaps a bit wetter than your accustomed to especially at first and I'm betting you'll just have a shooter from the get go.
Stick with just FMJ ball for a few hundred, don't mess with carry stuff. Stick with good factory ammo at first.
I think you'll not be among the Kahr bashers you mention.
I do laugh when I talk to local dealers and they tell people that don't want them cause they are so expensive. I just buy em from somebody else. I know what I want, just get it for me, ya know.
Good luck, keep us in the loop. If Murphy rears his ugly head, don't get frustrated, there's lots of guys here that have been there before and all willing to help.

My wife got me a 6rd mag for my pm9.
True story, she asked me what I wanted and wrote down a list. She then proceeded to go in my office and look through my stack of magazines.... car magazines, as in motor trend, automobile, car and driver, etc. She looked up car magazines online and saw that there were no other mainstream literature that I was missing. It didn't hit her until two weeks before Christmas what I wanted. We were getting ready to go out and she asked if I had grabbed my gun before we walked out the door. I told her I did, I had grabbed my Kahr. She yelled at me for leaving my pistol in the car and I said no honey, I mean I grabbed my Kahr PM9, not I left it in the car. She looked at me dumbly for a second ten the light bulb flashed. A long Ohhhhhhhhh, followed. I think that was when she realized what I had really asked for and then ordered on promptly from Bud's.
Too funny....

well fellas, I've had a busy week. first, last week i traded out a glock 19 for a kahr pm 9 with a crossbreed supertuck and half a box of various hollow-points, then had a huge trade which ended with me getting a p380 box of shells and a desantis nemesis holster on Xmas eve! so i went from having no kahrs at the beginning of November to having a 3 kahr garage before the new year. i have my lovely girlfriend to thank for most of it. here's a few ********** pics.

It's not a Kahr, but I think it's pretty cool. It's a .22! Which means I don't have to put a 2nd mortgage on the house to feed it.

and it has the threaded barrel so I can use the suppressors we ordered if the darn paperwork ever goes through.
I also got this from my wonderful husband. To an OU Alum and RABID fan, this is darn special.

Dang, thats a sweet looking 22. I never heard of one before. ATI? Made in Germany, good chance its a quality piece. That should be alot of fun to play with.
The fools ball, only you can appreciate but I'm sure its very special for you.
You've been neglecting us of late again and as the only admited female here I feel you should make more of an effort to stay in touch with all your adoring fans and me your adoring fiance. I'm gonna let ya off with a verbal warning this time but next time you'll be held accountable for your actions which could involve spanking or other punishments.
On a brighter note, I finally got the dept pass around MK9 so I should be whittling some pretty wood grips to add to your dowry pretty soon. Got a hunk of ebony and lace wood for Christmas so we got more options.
I'd say I hope you had a nice Christmas but obviously you did without doubt so no need to ask.
Ahh, now I see GSG! I have their little 22 carbine, sweet machine. Didn't know they made a 1911 style. I can't believe it even has a ambi safety.
yes, I'm sorry I've been neglecting you. I have all week off from work so maybe I can make up for lost time.

I know I'm late to the party, I've been neglecting my forum duties but here it goes.
No Kahr but I got me a piece of Russian hardware for Christmas.
A Saiga 7.62x39 that was to cheap to pass up. Sorry about the crappy picture I took it with my phone.

Thanks Greg, I'm pretty happy with it too and the cheap ammo is also a bonus (a box of 20 for $5). It's certainly cheaper than I had expected.
