Just wanted to introduce myself to all of yall. I recently stumbled across this forum while doing some research for my new EDC pistol. When all the dust settled, I decided on a CW9. I have yet to make it to the range with this little guy, but hope to do so this weekend. A little about me: I am a Texas native, married to a wonderful wife, and have an awesome four year old son who is my pride and joy. I have been shooting pistols for 10+ years and am a student of the game. (meaning I spend waaayyy too much time hanging out on gun forums):) The hanger SpringerFan comes from my love of all things Springfield Armory. I bought an XD not long after they first came out and was hooked. But as most of you have already figured out, lugging around a heavy, double-stack all day every day can be cumbersome. So I am hoping the CW9 will fill the void between my XDM40 and my LCP. I will post a range report soon. Any advise for a first time Kahr guy?

You can order an 8-rd. mag, either regular or w/grip extension from the Kahr site.

Take plenty of ammo with you. It's such a sweet shooter you won't want to stop.

Welcome from Northeast Texas...on the South side of the Sabine River

You made a good choice in the CW9. Being limited to mainly single stack semi-auto's, I have found the CW9 to be my favorite IWB carry. Totally reliable, shoots POA, very easy to handle and carry.

As said before, find all the prep info on the site, including how to prep and mantain the striker and striker channel, and it should be good to go

Welcome Springer, You have found the best forum by far on the net...The folks here are very nice, friendly and quite knowledgeable about anything Kahr related... Be advised that some of us (myself included) are a little bit crazy but don't worry we won't bite so feel free to talk about anything you want to bring up...Now belly up to the bar and post away....

I'm sure you'll find that the CW9 will more than fill the void between those two fine pistols. Welcome to the forum, glad to have ya here.:yo:

First range visit, 200 rds without a single problem.

Backstrap does grate a bit on recoil. I put on a nitrile glove after about a dozen rounds and finished it out.

Just got the Hogue Handall Jr. from Kahr. Nice palm swell and covers the backstrap. Needs a range test.

Excellent info on this forum about lube points and other info.
