pm9 with a beavertail?

My PM9 is off to Robar for the full package. The one thing I did not tell them to do is a beavertail. I was wondering if anyone has a beavertail on there PM9? any thought?

Not even appealing to me.....but it's your gun and you should do it if it's what you want. One other thing to consider, if you do it and decide to sell it later on, it may hurt you for resale......j m o.

My thought is it will give me a more positive grip, especially in drawing the weapon and at the range. I have never owned a gun with a beaver tail. When I go to the range I usually put 200 round on the PM9, once or twice I've had slide bite. Robar has a "baby" beavertail which is 1/4 inch long. I'm think this is small enough and just enough to give me a better grip.

have to agree with kahrseye. The kahrs (all of them) by their patented design of the trigger system riding alongside the barrel, has a very low certer bore axis due to that design. a positive ting, You will get less felt recoil from a kahr than any other gun near its size.

Ifyour getting slide pinch, man I must say I think you need tochange your grip. That beavertail will sove your issue but I think your grip change can be worked out. If anything is butt ugly IMO it is the beavertail thing. It willdefinitely hurt resale value, for personalli I would not buy one due to that one thing sticking out. But again this is your gun andif it does what you want it to do, then go for it. Sometimes when we come on a forum and ask a question we might not get the answers we were hoping for, but it also doeksn't mean we are always right either...

Robar does excellent work. They did a Glock 27 for me a couple of years ago, including NP3 "Norton Special" refinish.

Let us see a picture of it when you get it back. I have gotten bit a few times too while racking my PM9.

I'll post pictures when I get it back from them. But still on the fence about the beavertail. The beavertail order is on hold for now. I can't find anyone or a picture who has ever put one on a PM9.
