I picked up my CW9 and have some questions after my range visit today. I've got 200 rds through the gun with no problems. This is my first Kahr and I've got a couple of questions.

I'm right handed and as far as I can tell, right eye dominant. I mainly shot at the 3 and 7 yd lines. I'm learning to shoot with both eye's open so this might be part of the problem. My groups nice and tight, but are left of center. When sighting, I see 1 front sight but 2 rear sights. I choose the picture that looks the clearest and when I close my left eye the sight picture doesn't change.

I can't tell if I'm pushing slightly or if it's just because of the shorter sight picture that's causing this. I've checked around and the LGS are out of snap caps right now. I am planning on picking some up soon, hopefully.

Any thoughts or drills I can practice at home?

Also, why is it recommended to use the slide release instead of pulling back and releasing the slide? When I use the slide release I don't have any problems. When I pull and release the slide, it won't go into battery and I have to tap the back of the slide.

I'm a little confused. You seem to have answered your own question. Read the Q&A on "My firearm fails to chamber the first round..." on the KAHR website here...

http://www.kahr.com/faq.asp

I've read the break-in procedures and I followed them. I've had several other firearms, but this is my first Kahr. I was just curious about the slide stop vs manually riding the slide. I didn't know if this was a quirk with Kahr's, but it sounds like it will resolve itself the more I shoot.

Thanks for the information. I don't remember seeing that thread.

AZ is exactly right. You should be able to cycle it by hand once it's ran a little. My PM45 worked just fine out of the box.
Using the slide release just lets everything work under full momentum, they are tight and the tolerances are real snug so theres no margin for error if you ride the slide at all.

According to the chart posted by a member here earlier one of the causes of shots to the left is not enough trigger finger. In addition to the suggestions already mentioned you might apply a little bit more of the pad of your finger towards the first joint. Jeep has a good video around here someplace that address's this as well.
