Yeah Bawanna, just on the outskirts of Clolumbus, although the only fishin were doin around here would be through 2 ft of ice. Hey,where abouts up in Gods country are you. I've got a daughter lives in Seattle and my son's holed up in Vancouver Wa. The wife and I don't get up there as much as we would like but we sure enjoy it when we do get there. ps... never been on a train but I do have an original Parker double barrell in percussion.I build flintlocks and a buddy gave this family heirloom to me, knew I'd appreciate it.

We're about 45 minutes NE of Seattle. About straight east of Everett if you seen that on the map.
Vancouvers a far piece to the south prit near to Oregon.
A decent Parker is a joy to behold and deserves to be cherished and respected as it's such a piece of history. Don't let me down on that.
I gotta a standing offer to go ice fishin back there but dang I don't handle the cold all that well anymore and not all that nuts about fishin as much anymore either. I do like to catch Bass on warm sunny days, yeah I guess I'm still a fisherman.
If your son or daughter are ever in a jamb sound the horn and I'll send the cavalry. I got people further south to break trail till I get there and Seattle just a skip and a jump, not my kind of neighborhood the downtown area but I'll go there if needed.

I really appreciate that Bawanna. My late father-in-law taught me that dying art of long rifle building so I have a great appreciation for the Parker as well. The best I can tell, it even looks like the original ramrod or at least if not original very, very old. I'll send some pictures sometime of it and a couple of others that I built. Just built 2 Hawkens about a year or so back, 1 flint,1 percussion. They're not fancy, that was saved for eastern long rifles, not mountain men rifles. When I do get a chance to hunt, be it squirrel, coyote.or whitetail, I use my homemade patch and ball stuff. I like it traditional.

Hello there revzx9r from a fellow North Carolinian.I live on the coast about 35 miles east of Morehead City. The guys and woman on this forum are a wonderful bunch of people, full of great information and just enough silliness to keep you well informed and entertained.Let us know if there is anything you are wondering about and keep us informed as to your experiences with you new handgun.Or experience with anything else for that matter. We talk about a lot of things here. The mods give us a lot of elbow room and we are pretty good about policing ourselves so we end up having a ball most of the time.Jump right in and make yourself at home.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Haven't had a chance to take the Kahr to the range yet. May have a chance to get there this weekend after the gun show in Raleigh. Gonna take my 1911 to the show to see if I can sell it.
The guy I bought my gun from also had the crosstuck holster, so I picked that up from him too. So far I really like it for concealed carry.

OK what's the story on the 1911 your gonna sell. Theres a place here to list it for sale if you desire also.
Just gotta know what it is, you've rang my curiosity bell and theres a couple guys here that made resolutions not to buy no new guns this year. I'm doing everything I can to help them succeed.
What! A Wilson for 299, like new in the box. Poor guys, TOOOOOO BAD.
I'll take it.

Kind of a long boring story....but here goes.
I'm fairly new to handguns and actually purchased my first about a year ago. Since then I have kinda been hooked, so I have done a lot of horse trading since then. Well, I had been looking for a good carry pistol and I liked the Kahr's but needed to get rid of a couple of others first. An opportunity came up for the 1911, and even though it wasn't anything I was actually looking for I figured, "why not?". So I traded for the 1911 figuring I could trade it for a Kahr at some point in the future.
Long story short, I found the Kahr I wanted. The guy wasn't interested in the 1911 trade, so I purchased it outright. Now I have a 1911 to sell.
Whew.....did you get all that?

I had to read it 3 times but I got everything except what kind of 1911 it is, size caliber finish condition how many marbles I have to have to call it my own or how many marbles Jlott has to have to call it his own.
Theres a few 1911 hungry people around here. I really don't need another my own self unless the right buttons are pushed which happens frequently much to my wifes dismay.
Shes a good woman just no sense of humor towards a pile of nice guns and stuff. And she don't touch fish... How sad is that?

It is a Colt 1911 Series 70 Reproduction in SS. Previous owner said it had only had about 50-100 rounds thru it, and I have never shot it. It has a couple of marks directly on the top of the slide that appear to be holster marks. Other than that the gun is pretty much spotless. It comes with the original box and paperwork and 2 factory magazines.
I would like to get $900 for it, but that is somewhat negotiable.

I just had to ask and it just had to be a Colt and it just had to be a series 70. I hate myself for torturing myself.
WMD, you out there looking for one of these.
Thats a beauty and several of the right buttons were pushed. I'm gonna go check the wifes mood, umm actually I already know, it was a snow day and I been home all day. I better wait for a better time.

A Canadian Swede who doesn't touch fish? Isn't that like a Cajun Hillbilly that doesn't touch crawfish? Nice gun, revzx9r - good luck to you on your sale. Ask Bawanna45cal to trade his CBob straight up for it!

I would love to hang onto it, but I kinda made a deal with the wife to sell it if I found the Kahr that I wanted. When I am I gonna learn to keep my mouth shut?
I guess I will be taking it to the show with me and maybe it won't sell. :D

You told you wife you'd sell it and I told my wife I wont buy any until she gets "even" some how with my spending last year. I dont see how she's gonna get even and me afford to get anything.
If I remember in math (only class I ever paid attention to in school) 2 negatives can make a positive so do you think if my wife talks to yours you will get to keep yours and I can buy something?
