Greetings, a Kahr NEWBIE here!

I am now the future owner of a Kahr PM9 (in black).

I was initially going to purchase a Ruger LC9, but made the switch after researching both weapons.

I haven't received the PM9 yet, but I am very much looking forward to it...

Per the 200 rd break-in period, I'm a huge 1911 fan. So I realize some "good" guns have to be to broken in...per se...

I have been searching and researching the PM9 here and elswhere, and I want to thank everyone for their contributions here...

Not a perfect weapon - but my top choice.

Already ordered over 2k rounds, and spare mags...:D

Just wanted to introduce myself.

Hello and welcome to the forum from central Ohio! Be sure and go to the Kahr Tech section and read Jocko's "Proper prep of a new Kahr". The info there is well worth reading, and will save you alot of time and ammo on your break-in. Lots of PM9 owners here so if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. Your gonna love your new pistol.

Welcome aboard & Congrats on the new PM9! Superb lil' pistol!;)

Follow the break-in procedure, use brass ammo that has a tapered "pointy" projectile, and you will have a fun filled reliable shooting experience.:D

Im going thru the same issue. Want a pm 9 and also looking at the LC9. I have an sp101 3" right now and even thinking about trading it for a cw so I can have both pm and cw. Never shot either but held both. Let me know how you like it.

Welcome from western PA. You're gonna love that PM9, it's a great little gun and very accurate. I would suggest that you put some kind of cover on the grip. It's very sharp and will tear up your hand when shooting it. I use a Hogue Handall Jr, others use a Pachmyr and some use a bicycle inner tube. Good luck with it and please post pics and a range report as we'd all love to see your thoughts on the gun.

The lc9 willbe a nice gun but don't expect to have the same over all quality that kahrs have. Your not paying more for a kahr JUST BECAUSE. If the lcr9 has the same basic trigger system as the lcp 380, then expect no more from it also. The pric epoint of the lcr9 is excellent. Ifyour buying for price, then IMO that will make u a good gun. I would not even try tocompare the two brands.

Thanks everyone for the very warm Welcome!

Yes - I will follow that "prep" advice. I bookmarked that site days ago...

Thanks again everyone, I will report back after a few hundred rounds!

Gratefully,
Mitch
