Finally picked up my new P380 this week and went to the range today. Put 200 rounds through it with zero failures! (after doing Jocko's prep at home).
Wow this thing is a nice shooter. I bought it as a replacement for my LCP and it is a much more comfortable gun to shoot. The 200 rounds were no problem at all on the hands / wrists. Not bad for a 10 oz. .380.
With the LCP, I had usually had enough after about 50 rounds. The P380 is way more ergonomic than the LCP. I am very happy!
Also shot my PM9 today and the P380 is actually more comfortable in terms of recoil than the PM9 - not that the PM9 is bad.
The only negative was the moment of panic when I was cleaning / reassembling and the slide would not go over the trigger bar (I think this is what its called?) and in fact push it to the side. I looked up online and saw that this is solved by pulling trigger as you put slide back on - and this worked ok. But it is a bit disconcerting. And annoying that the manual states the opposite.
But overall - very impressed!
Glad to hear you are pleased! It's a great little pistol, but it does have very tight tolerences. I've read in other posts about being careful with the slide stop when reassembling the gun; it's easy to damage the spring there. Enjoy your new pistol, it sounds lie you've got a winner.

the manual needs to be changed. what you ende dup doing was correct. Nice gun ain't it. I shoot it better than my PM9, can't explain why either..

another thing when takeing the slide off, if if hangs up towards the back when pulling it off, just pull the trigger a tad and it will slide right off.. no need to force it over the cocking cam.

I was asked the other day, while oogling the selection at a gun store, "what do you think is the best CCW pistol?" The guy who posed the question said it'd be his first gun and he wanted to be able to always keep it with him. My immediate response," Kahr P380 first choice, if $$$ is a factor Ruger LCP."

I would put the S&W BG380 above the Ruger LCP, but I would put the Kahr P380 above the BG380 for a first carry pistol. My wife was anti-380 (or maybe "380 wary" is a better description) right up until she shot the P380. After one magazine of ammo downrange, she changed her tune. I don't get to be right very often, but I enjoy it when I do.
