I have noticed that on the sub forum discussion categories, the P380 is lumped in with the P series pistols. Since it is a polymer micro pistol it would seem to fit more closely with the PM series threads. ... and why isn't it called a PM380 instead?

Often wondered that myself. Never have heard an answer and far as I recall your the first to bring it up here.

I always lumped it with the PM's also and for awhile thought people were just dropping the M.

Another one of lifes mysterys.

It looks like a PM must have a 3" barrel. A P380's barrel is 2.5"

From Kahr's website:

Kahr Model Legend

TP: Polymer Frame, 4" Barrel
KP: Polymer Frame, 3.6" Barrel, 2.5" Barrel (.380 ACP Models)
PM: Polymer Frame, 3" Barrel
KT: Steel Frame, 4" Barrel
K: Steel Frame, 3.5" Barrel
M: Steel Frame, 3" Barrel
CW: Concealed Weapon, Polymer Frame & Stainless Steel Slide, 3.6" Barrel

Hey racuda! Sho'nuf! ...that's what it says. :o:) Thx.

It does seem like it'd a made more sense ta move the 2.5" down one line with the 3" ... that way all the short barrel polymers would be together under the PM series ...
