Buying a P380, how to tell which SN is newest?

I think I have finally decided to pull the trigger and buy a P380 over the LCP and P238. My question is they have several and I was I was trying to figure out which one was the "newest" and potentially be the best.

I think the newest ones have two screws in the side plate as well as a modified smoother slide stop. I have not seen one myself as yet and I don't know what the newest serial numbers are.

the newer models have the two screws in the side plate but other than hat no internal mods so you should be good to go with any P380 on the shelf. I seriously doubt if any that came out a few years aback are still sitting on the shelf. I have not seent he "smoother slide stop" hav eyou any photos of what that looks like???

Ok, now I know what your referring to. that change has been around for well over one year, but the two screw sideplate is maybe 3 months in production. All kahr did was bevel the leading edge of the slide lock lever, which looks good ..

Is there any pictures? I guess a P380 is a P380 but I wanted to get the best out of the bunch if the newer ones had the kinks worked out...

they really didn't have any kinks in them. if u get a lemon, u get a lemon, kahr will fix it. youcan go to the kahr .com and see their 380's and what they have to offer. cosmetically different but all parts are the same...Nice gun..

Went and took another look at the P380 today at the shop and decided to hold a PM9 and was DULY IMPRESSED! Its only a $100 more than the P380 and has me now debating about it. I think in the end though I will like the conceal factor of the 380.

On the P380 is there any difference between the RA vs RB serial numbers? This shop has about 6 P380s to choose from.
