Speer Gold Dot 9mm 124G +P Ammo Question

Just was wondering if anyone knew the difference between this particular brand and the same brand that has the designation "short barrel" on the box.

Fired 40 rounds of this stuff through my PM9 in the "short barrel" designation, and I really like it. I want to get some more, but I can't find it at my local gun stores, and the on-line sites don't seem to designate a difference.

Does it matter; is there a velocity difference?

Can anyone with knowledge please explain?

I sometimes wonder if this is not an advertising ploy??? IMO problably both will work super in the short barrel semi's. that being said I have never seen or shot the short barrel gold dots either. I do like the standard +124 gold dot for they go bang every time and function perfectly out of both of my Kahrs.
