I know this is my third posting in just a few days but I just want to let everyone know that I think this is a super great forum. I did not know very much about Kahr firearms but joining the forum before I even owned one certainly helped me find my CW40. I’ve learned more about Kahr and my CW40 in just one day that I’m sure would have taken me months to learn on my own. You know what they say about teaching an old dog. And this old dog needs all the help I can get.
Thanks again guys.

3 postings in a few days. Hope your keyboard didn't melt down. In the spirit of good karma along with the fact that my guys brought me back a Kahr hat from SHOT and I already have one, if you PM your address I'd like to send it to you since I hate to see a good hat go to waste. I didn't want to be a hog and wanted to share but didn't want to play favorites.
So send it to a new guy.
We're glad you found us. Don't be afraid to step up that post count. While post count don't mean knowlege (I'm living proof of that) it is a sign of participation.

If you keep all my secrets to yourself and spread only slightly untrue nice things about you I'll send ya my one and only last Kahr hat?:D You probably already got a hat rack full of em with your connections. What else do I got to bribe ya with?
I gotta see if I can find it, I keep it with my sunday go to meetin hats so I haven't seen it lately but I know it's there someplace.

Bawanna should have been put down a long long time ago!!!
In dog years he is old, in man years he is a pup, by my standards. Course I am only 22 going on 67 and oh do I love Milk Shakes!!! Not much I won't do for a damn good shake!!

"Bawanna should have been put down a long long time ago!!!"
I've been telling them that for years. Keep wanting me to do stuff that normal people do, I'm tired, I'm ready for the poke. I asked them a month or so ago when I had my Gall Bladder taken out, told em that's it, pull life support. The nurse once again told me I wasn't on life support. What am I suppose to do? Send the canoe, the rivers ready to be crossed. And it too dang cold to swim. Maybe that air matress Wynn's dog used would work.
I'm ready to go where Harley's are never dirty and magazines never run out of bullets and everybody knows your name.

Gotcha, those grips should be getting here pretty soon. I won't leave with unfinished business. I think I created a pun. Unfinished grips/ unfinished business. Why do I feel the hole is getting deeper and deeper and I have no idea where I'm going?

Who's older? This old dog was in the Marines when Presadent Kennedy was assassinated. What a day that was, the base was put on lock down.

Your older, I was in the 4th grade. I remember my teacher, I remember the classroom and where I sat and mostly I remember it was a really sucky day.
I know my teacher bawled her eyes out and I think it's the first time girls ever saw me cry too. Guess I recognized a bad thing even in the 4th grade.

I was walking out of one of my classes at Indiana State University, when it was announced. The school actually shut down even. Probably had to, as everyone went home or to their dorms, or to the local bars.. certainly not to class. Some things u just don't forget where you were at..

I wrote a small one Posted, New Member With A CW40. Picked up a used CW40, my very first Kahr pistol plus two boxes of PMC for $399. The gun was very will taken care of with very little ware marks. After a cleaning and lubrication I shot the 100 rounds I got with the gun with 0 malfunctions. The gun felt great in my hands and no trouble controlling the recoil. I also had no trouble with the back strap hurting my hand. Very good shooting gun and I really like the trigger compared to a Kel-Tec P11.
Thank you for asking.

Given your experiences per your "history", I would suspect that you've had a good deal of experience with JMB's perfect pistol (1911, of course). Don't you think that the CW feels quite a bit like a 1911, although maybe a bit smaller in the grip? The grip feel, closely resembling a 1911 grip as far as grip angle, was one of the characteristics of the CW9 that really attracted me. That and the overall internal quality.

mean kel tec P11 has a trigger:banplease:
was your P11 one of the early model 40 cals or the 9mm. The 40 cal didn't last long in the P11 line. Terrible recoil was the major complaint and many guns returned for jamming which turned out to be shooter error with the 40 cal P11. That was one easy gun/caliber that would limp alot..

New 9mm I bought last month. I put around 300 rounds through the Kel-Tec with 0 malfunctions. The trigger travel on the P11 seems twice as long as the CW40, my new best friend. At the time the recoil on the 9mm Kel-Tec did not feel to bad, but after shooting my CW40 the Kel-Tec's recoil seems more excessive than the Kahr 40. My CW40 conceals equally as well and has a better grip. As far as looks and workmanship there is no comparison. Less rounds in the CW40, 6+1 but a few well placed shots from a 40 S&W will end the threat real fast.

I would agree, but most of my experience with the 1911 was way, way, back in my grunt days, USMC 1963/1968. I guess I do have some "History" Ha,Ha,Ha.

Old Salt -
I'm one of the guys that used to ferry you around (that is if you were a wet marine). Welcome to the forum. I did the same as you but lurked first. Bought a CW9 and have been very happy with it. In fact, shot it today after coming back from one of those "stan" places for the last two months. No I'm not on active duty, the last time active was back in 1977. Doing other stuff now, but all maritime related.
BTW - I also have an SP-101 3" 357, really love shooting that gun.

Being part of the Department of the Navy all Marines are basically wet Marines, but I never served on a ship. My SP 101 is 38 special only I wish it was a 357 then I could have shot both 38 special or 357. My CW40 is my first Kahr and I’m really impressed with the feel of the gun in my hand and the trigger pull. Some say it’s to long, they should try a Kel-Tec P11, not sure about the Kel-Tec PF9 I’ve heard it’s better but with my Kahr Trigger I get faster follow up shots. I initially was looking for a CW9 but came across a very lightly used CW40. Being that I have a Glock 27 and like 40 S&W I could not pass it up. I’m glad I did I love the way my CW shoots and the recoil is less than my heavier Glock, but I may still see a CW9 in my future.

kel tec;'s triggers don't compare to kahrs trigger system. apples and oranges. Over all quality is apples and oranges also, so is price point but with the kahr cw series seemingly droppingin price even more to under $375 at times, you best stick with kahrs. That is a gun you can shoot until the cows come home..

+1 on jocko's reply.
My CW9 replaced a kel tec P3AT and I've shot both the PF9 and the P11. There is no comparison between the trigger pulls. The kahr is the best.
I picked my SP101 up at my local evil pawn shop used of course. The only new gun I've bought recently is my CW9. Shooting your SP101 in double action will also help you with the DA on your Kahr. IMHO

dry firing the SP101 will smooth the trigger immensly AND help with trigger control on the Kahr. I haven't been dry firing my SP101 near as much lately, nor my CW9 for that matter, but think it's time to get back into the routine.
I have found that the CW9 and SP101 are as good a revo/semi-auto combination as I've ever found. Those are the two I depend on 24/7/365, each having it's own particular carry use.

Totally agree with the trigger... but in all honesty I used to really love my PF9... that is until I shot a Kahr! Loved the size of the PF9 and although my hand would hurt after 100 rounds, I just chalked it up to the size of the gun...
...fast forward a year and now I've shot both a P40 (covert grip) and a PM9. Without question the recoil of the PF9 is worse than either the P40 or the PM9... in fact, the PM9 feels more like my old LCP, maybe even less. Yes, the P40 covert has significant kick/snap, but it still feels (to me) less harsh than the PF9...
... and with the P380 compared to the LCP... again no contest... the p380 almost feels like a hyper-velocity 22lr when compared to the LCP.
Needless to say, I've since sold the PF9 and the LCP... both were great guns and very reliable for me... but once I found the Kahrs I was SOLD!!!
Welcome to the forum and thanks to all you service men/women... I'm almost as old as you but did not serve our country as you did... much thanks!
Also, do you guys remember where you were when the Challenger blew up? That and the World Trade towers are up there with Kennedy's assassination as far as remembering exactly where I was when it happened..
