Japanese Surrender- Amazing Footage Sept 2, 1945...
A must see for WWII buffs and those unschooled in, or just interested in History.
This is an actual film made of the surrender ceremony in
Tokyo Bay in September 1945.

IMHO: This is the way every conflict with the United States should end.

I agree that every conflict should end like that, but it ain't gonna happen as long as we fight politically correct battles. We need leaders like Truman with some balls.

Yep. I don't agree with Truman on a lot of things, but dropping the bombs is one thing he got right.

Truman's biggest mistake was not granting the Ruskies their wish of executing 50,000 Germans (not many when one considers the slaughter of 10s of millions of Russians) after the war.

It would have, quite possibly, prevented the creation of the Iron Curtain and the enslavement of millions of people by the commies for decades after that.

Reminds me of the bits from the old Victory at Sea series.

It would be an interesting exercise to see how the exact same circumstances would be reported by the media today in an era of moral relativism.
