Has anyone ever had the slide stop break? I was breaking my PM40 down to change the recoil spring when the slide stop broke. The large part of the stop broke off at the the point where it connects to the rod running through the gun.

Did the thumb piece come off of the round pin? Or did it actually break in the flat area to the rear of the pin hole?

No the thumb piece did not come off the pin. The pin broke off in the thumb piece.

I've not heard of this before, perhaps others have. I'm thinking a phone call to Kahr will have another in the mail to you in quick order.
An email with a photo would yield the same results.

Never heard of this occuring until recently. This is the second post I've seen on a broken slide stop. The first was on a E9. Here's the link...

ripley16 and that is an old model also. No doubt they get bad made stops. Sure would be nothng that I would worry about. Probably half millions kahrs out there with these forged slide stops and well sh-t happens.

Man makes um, man breaks um!!

I noticed that the slid stop on my PM9 is 2 pieces. I don't know what holds the pin in. I don't see any weld. Maybe it is threaded.

If you look at the bottom of the slide stop there's a little pin. I just noticed it for the first time today.
