It would seem like as many threads as there are on PM9 mags, that Kahr would do something. I love the gun, but my 6 shot mag has to be pulled out of the gun, it doesn't budge by gravity only -just moves a little when the slide stop is pushed, and the 7 shot mag falls out by gravity. I would gladly buy aftermarket mags if they worked right. I don't believe anyone wants a mag that won't fall out by gravity. For such a wonderful pistol to have such an anoyance doesn't make sense. If your 7 shot mag drops free. Contact Kahr and tell them whats going on. They will probably just send you a replacement. Sometimes the mag wells need a little cleaning up, seems some of the mags are just a tad over sized or something.
While they say the mags aren't designed to drop free it seems with the proper mags it's not difficult to make it happen.
It's indeed a nuisance to have to make the call or email and wait for a new one but they will make it right.

of my PM9 6 round mags don't drop free. Really doesnt bother me either. If i tbother you send it back to kahr, they will replace it and try again. Have u tried to actually polsh the outside of the magazine with some fine 600+ grip paper and then wax it with some car polish. Some have had great results doing that. I do tend to think it is the magaazine that is partially oversize more than the inside of hte grip well, as thatis all a molded process and it shold be the same allthe time.

Kahr doesn't make their magazines and they don't test the two that comes with your gun before shipping them out. My G19 hasone magazine that will not drop. the other drops feelly, again neither bother me one way or the other.

My 7 round that came with my cw9 would not drop free either.. I took the polishing wheel to it and made it nice and shiny.. Then I put some militec on it and heated it up and then wiped it clean and dry. The magazine drops out perfectly now. I just got my second magazine from the gun shop and it sticks even more than the first one did. I will polish it down and see what happens. It certainly can't hurt to polish them.. You should not have to, but seems we are stuck in this position. I love my Kahr so far, but I think it falls well short of the fit and finish of my xd..

Remove your mag, clear your gun. Secure the slide rearward (open).

Take a peek down the well (from the top) and press your mag release. Does it completely move out of the well or is there still a little sticking out? Mine has some sticking out and the 6rd hangs. The 7 doesn't fall out but comes out a LOT easier.

I have a new spring and release on the way. I'll post up when I swap it out.

After polishing mine up last night it helped, but it still does not fall free from the gun. It seems the mag release is holding it up like vnmous1 said. My original one that came with the gun will fall free now that its polished, but the newest one will not.

the issue seems to be with the mags as some drop free and some dont. i'll check my release but as some mags drop free & the others drop about 1/2" then stop i dont know that the release is the issue but i'll check.
