Dropping Mag Problem FIXED

My CW40 was one of the pistols that would drop the magazine during rapid fire.
Kahr supplied a redesigned magazine catch and, after a range session today, the problem is FIXED. I fired over 60 rounds of mixed ammo including some Fiocchi 180HP (really stout) and my normal Ranger 165 HP. No malfunctions of any kind.

I am having the same problem with the CW9 Did they provide you the mag catch along with the mag release button? Did you pay for this or is this under warrenty? Thanks for your assistance

A call to Kahr technical service got a new mag catch without charge.
Mag catch and release button are the same item. Takes just a minute to replace.

Kahr sent the replacement part this week and I installed it in a few minutes. Fired 200 rounds this afternoon and no issues with the mag dropping during firing. I am now confident that this pistol will function properly when I need it.

I really wish Kahr had not used a magazine release made from a plastic piece with a metal insert. They should have tested the plastic part and determined, like I did after 200 rounds, that it was not sturdy enough.

I do not beleive I will buy another Kahr pistol.
