Lesson learned for me today. New ammo shipment in to Walmart. Just got back to town from making face to face transaction with a fellow Kahrtalk member. Had a little cash so I decided to stock up. Bought limit of 10 value WWB 100 9mm packs. Pouring rain outside and didn't notice rep failed to double bag. Stopped out front to support our local girl scouts. Rain kept falling and subsequently bullets dropped all over parking lot matrix style. Then spent about 10 minutes throwing them in a bag loose and then putting stuff in car. Had an awesome front row parking spot right by door so some lazy moron decided to wait, snarling traffic out front for 3 rows on either side. The moral of the story is wait until some parent of a lazy girl scout brings the order form to work.

That may be all I have cause now I have to wipe the parking lot asphalt grime from about 200 bullets. Plus I lost my dignity eating a little Debbie that got smashed in the door when I just threw everything in the back seat haphazardly.

I can think of worse things to do on a rainy day then sitting there eating girl scout cookies while polishing bullets!;)

jocko, I am feeling you're pain we got slammed with 11 inches of the white mess on Wednesday and is it is coming down hard out there again now. I am sick of this weather, a warm rainy day would be a blessing about now, LOL!

Yes in reality I immediately knew it would be a couple of hours of mindless entertainment right when it happened but you try telling a bunch of little girls with their parents that you are going to enjoy shining those bullets and see what kind of looks you get. Awkward.

I feel for you Jocko, and sorry for your misfortune Indigo. We get that freezing rain here in Kansas all the time, and that snow on top of it is just making a bigger mess. The last big ice storm we had, I was out of electricity for 4 days. Glad I had the generator. Hard to pay $500 bucks for something you may never need, but glad I did it. It's come in handy a couple times during thunderstorm season too, although they generally don't take 4 days to get the power back on. Hope you have power and are staying warm.
I have to travel to Denver Sunday night sometime after the Superbowl for my aunt's funeral (my brother is hosting a big Superbowl party, so he can't leave until that it over), so hoping all that bad weather stays to the east of us until we get home. The funeral is 2pm Monday, I'm wondering what kind of condition we'll be in after driving all night. Probably look like the zombie brothers. 3 of us are going, so at least we can take turns napping on the way.

Wow, nice site with some spectacular photo's Ol'coot. Where were the photo's taken of the waterfalls and rock formations? That sure looks like a nice place to visit. Hope it's in a CC reciprocal state, otherwise I'll probably have to miss it.

your going into iffy territory this weekend tha tis for sure. They are calling for more snow tomorrow even. Schools have been out all week, Poor little bast-rds will have to make up those days in June.. I have now a very good idea ofjust what the hell cabin fever is all about. I have lived here for 67 years and never been forced to be so couped up as i have this past week.
Now I ahve a farily good idea of what in home detention might feel like to. Not sure I could take 6 months of that sh-t either..

Lesson learned for me today.
You're fortunate that the lesson was learned in NC. I think you might have had other lessons learned had that happened in NY or MA or IL or elsewhere.

I believe the waterfalls and rock formations photos your are referencing are from The Upper Peninsula of Michigan. The folders should be labeled and I can not be sure unless you give me some more detail, Feel free to email me for more information there is an emal link on the website. Thanks for the very kind comments. The Michigan UP is a wonderful place to visit but not at this timer of year unless you are into riding snowmobiles. A sport that is just to cold for me. I also have photos of waterfalls from NC, WV and TN on there.

No problem. Things are different today my patents used to make me knock on strangers door alone to peddle crap teams/schools sold now people are too crazy for that and the parents stand guard with the evil eyes.
