ploy frame warp/swelling issue

hey guys, i have seen some brief discussion on this but i cannot find it in a search. am i describing it correctly. where it looks like the poly frame by the front rails is warped. i would just like to read up on it for my personal info.

can someone direct me to a thread or give me the right search terminology to get me where i need to be please?

gb6491. excellent photos, I have always felt that "bulging" look was there by design to maybe keep one's hand from accidently gripping the slide and maybe causing ejecting issues.
