Barrel fitting

I realize that Kahr states that the T9 barrel is not compatible with the K9 to produce a threaded barrel, but can the T9 barrel be fitted to work in the K9?

Is it that much different or not enough metal, etc?

The measurements of the barrel lug is slightly different between the two. However I don't know if these are typical of "within tolerance" variances. My T barrel will physically fit into the K9 slide and the slide will fit onto the frame and the pistol functions manually. I have never shot it this way, but I see not major reason it won't work.
