Certain lots of recently manufactured 45 Auto ammunition may contain an incorrect propellant charge. Use of product from these lots may result in firearm damage and possible serious injury.

Was this recall for ammo produced in the last six months? How recent on these lots of Federal/American ball ammo produced?
I have alot of 45 ACP stash and would hate to have go through all of it should the recall be of recent manufacture.

Was wondering the same thing...I have 2 boxes of 50 Federal Champion .45 ACP FMJ from Walmart but I can't find any lot numbers or part numbers on the box..Guess I'll give Federal a call just to be safe...

The Federal Champion sold at Walmart is made by Federal or Speer. Both owned by ATK. The "Federal" has the lot number on the back of the box and the box is larger than the Speer produced ammo. Speer stamps the lot number on the inside of one of the box end flaps. Also look at the primer to tell the difference.
