I just got my P-380 back from Mike Cyrwus at Accurate-Iron. He did a fantastic job of stippling the grip area, radiused the slide stop, and added Big Dot sights for me. The turnaround for the work was under two weeks and the price was very reasonable. I took it to the range today and am more than pleased with his work. I know some of you have mentioned his work in the past and I just want to add another satisfied customer to his list. I will be sending him my CW-9 next for similar work.

Nice, I'm glad you are happy with it.
What do you think of the Big Dot sights? Most importantly how is your accuracy compared to the original sights?
I want NS for my K9 and I am considering the XS Dots.

The original sights shot very low and way to the right. The Big Dots are really different from any sights I have used before. They take some getting used to. Right now sighting that the covers the top number 9 puts them in the center of the X ring at 21 feet. I need to work on it more and come up with a winning combination. For the intended purpose of this gun, I think they are the way to go from my limited experience.

Is the stippling hard on your hand under recoil or do you think it would be in a harder recoiling gun?

I was surprised. When I first gripped the gun it felt like the stippling might be too aggressive. I think I was just gripping it too tight. I then spent a couple of days just dry firing it and handling it before I had a chance to go out and shoot it. Once I starting firing it, I had no problem at all with the stippling. It never felt rough and actually gave me a better grip on the gun. On more powerful ammo I can't say, but I plan to add it to my CW9. I hope this answers your question. Maybe others have had a differnet experience.
