To save everyone details I need to fasten a Gemtech TRL lanyard to my PM9. As far as I know there is no lanyard option out there...could I drill a small hole in the frame and add a split ring to it or will it mess with the strength of the polymer?

Thanks

Drill a hole.
That part of the frame isn't load bearing and isn't subject to much stress.

You might use JB Weld or WaterWeld or something of that sort and put a swivel in that cavity at the bottom rear of the grip... kind of fill it in with a swivel in the center. A small swivel shouldn't bother the grip or get in the way of the magazine.

That area is already hollow so it would be the perfect candidate. I'd stuff cotton or something up to avoid filling the whole grip and use Acra Glas Gel from Brownell's. It even comes with black / brown die so you can match the grip.
It's super tough, impervious to temp, moisture etc. You boat guys think Marine Tex or Marine Tech. It's actually resin.
Cotton might not be the best stuffing, paper or something might work better.

Just be careful about putting a stud in the cavity if your reloading technique involves using your palm to seat the mag.

A person could recess that stud a little bit to nearly flush or I wonder if you could even bobtail that a little bit like zunkted did on his P.
Would make it look like it was made for it.
