Anyone used them both and have a preference?

I have an MTAC and am not wild about it. I find it difficult to tuck my shirt and the butt of a P11 looks like a tumor on my back.

Any thoughts?

i've used both with the same pistol, although my crossbreed was an older one with the plastic clips.

i much prefer the mtac. it feels slightly more comfortable since most of the leather touching my body is smooth side, and i really like the adjustable tension which i dont believe is available on the crossbreed. the kydex body on mine was riveted on.

i dont tuck my shirts in though.

i should also mention that i used these holsters with an HK p2000, a much bulkier pistol than a kahr. i dont know if the mtacs use a generic leather size and just change the kydex, or if they cut the leather to fit the pistol, but if its generic i'm sure it would be a much larger holster than a crossbreed minituck.

Thank you for your reply apheod. I've ordered the MTAC holster body to fit my PM9 from Comp-Tac and I'll see how that works. If that doesn't work out, I may give the Crosssbreed a try... I still have some room in my unused holster drawer if that doesn't work out either.

I can not comment on the Crossbreed, as I have not tried them, but I have been using an MTAC Minotaur from Comp Tach. This holster is very adjustable for cant, and depth "in the pants", if you will. The Kydex shell is also adjustable for retention, as well as being swappable with other shells to carry a different pistol without buying a second holster. They also sell numerous clips to fit your needs. The holsters are not cheap (about $80), but I'd buy another one in a second at this point.
I also have a Remora that is very nice for certain carry situations. Those are inexpensive, and surprisingly versatile. The owner is also a very nice guy to communicate with.
Let us know which holster you end up favoring.

Thanks for the tip on the Remora holster Sliebl. I was unfamiliar with that holster and it may fullfil an unusual need. I'm going to start a new thread asking for help with this need, but the Remora looks like a possibilty.

Now Galco has entered the hybrid market. I went ot order one for my PM9 and they are hard to find since they are so popular. Has anoyone have any experience with the King Tuk?
