A hunter's motion sensor camera caught this picture in Washington State. This is very rare apparently.

wow, u said it , once in a lifetime. I bow hunted courgar in Utah over 35 years ago. Hunted them for over 2 weeks before we ever seen one even. They are jus tnot social animals, loners would be a good word for a cougar.
The photo is priceless and sure brings back ol memories. I wish them all well to..

If I can get permission, and more importantly figure out how to get a picture that my uncle captured and sent to me from my little brothers feeder, I'll post it. It is not nearly so impressive, but the one I have is a big kitty, and it has its next meal in tow. Thing took an 8 pointer and of fairly good size too. I must say those are plentiful around here, but that is spectacular.

the cat that we chased back 30+ years ago had just killed a big cow elk, found it all covered up with brush and what a blood bath area there was do. The cat was about 25 yards down from the elk and resting up in a tree.. It's on my wall now!! big male. made P & Y easily even.

I've hunted deer for 50+ years here in Az. in lion country & can only recall seeing 2 lions. I have seen lots of tracks tho. There used to be a rancher up in the mountains that had one chained to a big tree in his front yard, like a dog with a collar.
