Went to my range today and brought along my P380, CW9 and CW40. Started with the 40 as I had to send it back to the home planet after its first outing-trigger didn't reset.

Shot 50 rounds of Ranger LE 135 grain and 50 rounds of Fiochi 155 grn HP's without a hiccup. Shot it well and loved the trigger. Then I shot my CW9 and it felt like a popgun!!! :D Finished off with 50 rounds of Fiochi 95 grn fmj in my P380. She did fine until the last two rounds and I know it was me as I had apparently had enough fun and bobbled the last two rounds!!!

The boys in MA fixed my 40 and had it back to me in ONE WEEK and they paid for the trip. Love Kahr!!!!!!!!!

I just love happy endings. Nothing like an uneventful and rewarding range visit to make your day complete.
Two trips ago I couldn't do anything right, this last trip I couldn't do anything wrong. It was way more fun last time.

Good for you, everythings on track and good for the boys in MA for taking care of business in a timely fashion.

If you don't mind me asking, what were the "bobbles" in the last 2 rounds of the P380?

Just out of the group, or malfunctions?

pretty easy in 50 rounds to get alittle shooter fatigue with that little P380,considering u just shot a 100+ rounds in two other guns.

My 2 cents. When I still had the little P3AT, I started with that one. If I waited to shoot it last, just about always had some kind of problem.

OOPS, forgot about this post-sorry for the late response!!!

Yeah, I'm sure I L/W'd it and ended up with a couple of failures to go into battery. Also, the Fiochis are really dirty and the ramp looked like hell...

Copterdrvr, sounds like you had a good day range wise. How does the CW40 compare to the CW9? Is the kick much more or very little?

It's alittle "snappier" of course, but certainly not bad at all due to the ergonomics of the Kahrs.

I'm sure there'll be people who disagree but I keep my smaller 40 cal pistols stoked with lighter bullets as I find that they are much more pleasant to shoot. I'm currently using Winchester Ranger ( I think!) LE 135 grain HP's and they are awesome and dirt cheap!!!

Even though they're lighter bullets, they're still heavier than 115 grn 9mm's and they move along a fair bit faster than most of the 115/9's.. I've shot them into a few things and man, do they make big holes! And most important to me is the fact that again, to me, they are alot more fun to shoot than let's say 180 grainers! Also the bullet has a great profile and if your gun'll shoot hardball, these should cycle just fine!

copterdrvr, thanks for the info on the CW40. I sold all of my 40 cal pistols except my Glock 27, which I can shoot 9mm with a Wolf barrel. Am thinking about a CW40, because I like my CW9 so well, and it has little "kick". I am thinking about trying a CW40, if recoil is manageable.
Thanks again, Roger
