Bad slide rails on my new P9?

As I was giving the pre-prep cleaning to my new P9 last night, I noticed one of the metal slide rails had a notch in it as seen in the photo. Is this normal and will it cause any problems? Look at the upper rail closer to the muzzle end. It looks likie its supposed to be ther or it was cut out. I don't think it's broken off.

Perfectly normal, DO NOT PANIC. Every polymer Kahr I've seen has that notch. It's some sort of witness mark for the production process. It hurts nothing. I panicked too.

No worries. Forget that one and move on.

Thanks much! This little gun is going to be in my rotation of EDC's and I want to ensure it's sound! I compared it to a pic I saw in the "how to lube your Kahr" and I didn't see this notch. Thanks for the clarification though. Much appreciated.
