Well, I just received the P380 magazine and recoil springs I ordered from Kahr. Next move is to actually buy a P380.

I had a Ruger LCP that has been great. My son, the father of my precious granddaughter, and who dresses business casual for work, needed something that was reliable, and fit well in slacks pockets, so me, always a soft touch, gave him the LCP, a pocket holster, 3 magazines, and 100 rounds each of S&B 92 grain FMJ, and Aguila 90 grain JHP. I know this is not the best ammo, but it will get him started, and was 100% reliable in the LCP. I got it when .380 ammo was very difficult to find at all.

When originally looking at the .380 choices, I passed on the P380, and got the LCP. I was not all that convinced I was going to have much use for a .380, and went with price.

Now, I am so convinced that I want the P380, I went ahead and pre-ordered the above items. I wanted to make sure I didn't change my mind.

It will go nicely with my CW40 and PM40. I am looking forward to a .380 with nice sights, and a slide that locks back when the magazine is empty.

great gun, go slow in breaking it in, give it the 200 rounds to mate itself up Ok. U might want to review the kahr tech section and hit on the PROPPER PREPPING OF YOUR NEW KAHR.. I shoot my P380 more accurate than my PM9, but I just never carry it ayore as my PM9 just fits the bills so nice.

welcome to a friendly forum

I like to do that too when I find a gun I know I want to get. I'll either order some gun specific accessories or a holster for it that way I'm committed to getting it.

My wife doesn't understand it. I told her it is hard to put down 500 on a gun then go home and want to order a 75 dollar holster. She says you are still spending the same amount of money and I told her yeah but it's a lot easier to spend the 500 when I have the accessories at home waiting on it :)

The P380 is way more gun than the LCP. Mine has never malfunctioned in any way even through break in.

I hope I find you're right. I liked the LCP a lot, but a slide that locks back when the magazine is empty is a good thing.

Well, the new P380 (Black Diamond) is languishing in the safe, along with 2 magazines. Full and ready to go. Don't know if I'll be able to sleep tonight.
It fits in the same Blackhawk #1 pocket holster I use for its big brother, the PM40. Actually fits better. I carried it around in the pocket yesterday for several hours. Just like its predecessor, the LCP, it is so comfortable you can forget you are carrying it.

Have disassembled, cleaned, reassembled, and worked the slide a bunch.

Will fire my first shots around 0730. Did I mention I'm excited?

We'll keep our fingers crossed that it's a keeper and anxiously await a range report. I have little doubt she's gonna just run like a swiss Kahr.

Nothing like a shiney new gun to make the rest of your troubles just not even bother ya no more.

Will start a new thread to post a range report.
