Picked up a new to me PM9 this weekend for a good price at a gun show. It was in the box with all papers and accessories. Serial number VA74xx which puts it mid 03 manufacture. I could not tell it had ever been fired past the factory proof shots.

As it was in the recall group I polished the ramp (looked dull not like my other Kahrs bought new). I detail stripped the slide and wiped everything thing down with Miltec. Put SlideGlide on the rails and took it to the range.

150 rounds WBW with both 6 and 7 round mags and it never skipped a beat. Went to several mags of 147 grain HP. Not ever a hesitation chambering is I had come to expect with my CW9 and CW40 when new. I shoot 40 mostly in my Sigs and Kahrs. Recoil seems very mild. Once is had adjusted my grip some I was hitting point of aim.

Looks like I got a new EDC piece! :D

Nice gun, and u did right in polishing that feed ramp. most of the recalls back then was for an unpolished feed ramp.

but take the recoil assembly out and measure that flat washer type end p[eace and if it is 3/8" inch, they order from kahr the complete recoil assembly, the one with 13 coils liste din the PM9 parts lists. That flat peace now is 1/2". Other than that you kahr is as good as what is coming out today.

Nice gun and I love that flat nose style to. It is the lightest PM9 that kahr makes today and also the smallest.

Part # 005PM9 OLD STYLE $23.10

Then just go to wolffs gun springs and order the outter recoil springs for that pM9, factory is 18#. I would suggest ordering the 20.5# springs and just replace the outter spring, remember open end of the spring goes towards the front of the slide. Wolffs right now only makes recoil springs for the old style kahrs like yours, so u can't make a mistake in ordering them. Get a half dozen and be done with it and then just replace the outter spring as u deem necessary..

Nice gun, my favorite.
