I just love a happy ending!

Augusta , GA - A heart-warming story. We need to hear of more similar stories.

Orville Smith, a store manager for Best Buy in Augusta , Georgia , told police he observed a male customer, later identified as Tyrone Jackson of Augusta , on surveillance cameras putting a laptop computer under his jacket. When confronted, the man became irate, knocked down an employee, drew a knife, and ran for the door.

Outside on the sidewalk were four Marines collecting toys for the "Toys for Tots" program. Smith said the Marines stopped the man, but he stabbed one of the Marines, Cpl. Phillip Duggan, in the back, the injury did not appear to be severe. After Police and an ambulance arrived at the scene Cpl. Duggan was transported for treatment.

The subject was also transported to the local hospital with two broken arms, a broken ankle, a broken leg, several missing teeth, possible broken ribs, multiple contusions, assorted lacerations, a broken nose and a broken jaw...injuries he sustained when he slipped and fell off the curb after stabbing the Marine.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

We've seen that here before. It is a good story. FWIW if you believe he fell, then I have this nice piece of beachfront property in AZ. Good stuff that.

Sorry, if I wasted any ones time as I did a search for duplicates prior to posting and I just searched again and still I cannot find the same story as previous post. Some similar ones but not this one.

The story was posted as entertainment not fact, I may be gullible but not that gullible. Note the big grinning smiles at the bottom of the post. I actually had a very good laugh when I first read it in an email received earlier today and thought others might enjoy.

It's all good. I was curious as to what the scumbag went down for and the sentence, but I guess the whoopin was good enough. Like I said, no worries.

I don't recall seeing it. I'm sure he slipped, it could happen ya know. It's when we hurry after stabbing people that accidents happen.

Or after stabbing a Marine. That just reeks of a dumb move.

I have to admit that this story left me misty-eyed.To call it heartwarming is to damn with faint praise but then again, I always get emotional when a story is set at the holidays.Sniff.Maybe they`ll make a holiday special about it and air it on the Hallmark channel.

That guy should be more careful, those tall curbs can be deadly. I'm sure the judge told him so,.....

Being a former Marine, you are never an X Marine. I think I know what really happened. The laptop computer slipped from under the mans jacket tripping him and he stumbled off the curb. When the three other Marines tried to help the man back on his feet they did not realize that the computer power cord was now tangled around his ankles and he fell again. I'm sure that's what really, really, really happened. ;) ;)

I think our brethren, may not have seen the high curbs there either. Funny, he seems to have been injured after stabbing one an NCO I believe. He may have had some funny body english too, that laptop seems to have bounced on him a time or four, with the battery first. Just one of the mysteries of the cosmos moments I guess.
