So, I have a brand new Kahr CW9 with approx. 200 rds through it so far and haven't had a single FTE or FTF or any other common issues. I was doing a little training today and had a small problem.
When I go to enter a loaded magazine with the slide locked back the slide will automatically release, chambering a round if the mag is inserted too forcefully. Needless to say, this scared me a little bit and I figured you guys would be the first to check with.
Has anyone else had this problem?
Does this warrant a trip back to the factory for some work?
I would love any input. Thanks guys.

Perhaps the slide release lever isn't fully pushed into the frame? That's all I can think of, but I'm not an expert either. My CW9 only has 500 rounds through it, but have not experienced any problems. Sorry I couldn't help.

Welcome to the forum.
I've got a CW9 and have not had your problem but if you do a search you might find the answer.
Someone with more experience than I should be along shortly.
Noticed that you posted in the general and the CW sections. Someone may close one or the other, so keep looking for a reply in two different sections until one is closed.

I'd check to make sure the slide stop is in all the way as mentioned of course. Then I'd lock the slide back using an empty mag and see if the lever is fully up into the notch to hold things.
It could be the spring is putting too much down pressure on the lever. Make sure the lever is oriented correctly on the spring under it and not over which it probably is if it's doing everything else right. Might just have to tweak the spring down a touch with some needle nose pliers.
This has been brought up before when a new mag is vigorously loaded the slide drops. I'm certain it was spring related.

Heres a similar issue on a 380, same type of issue. Food for thought. I thought there was another I'll keep looking.

If u slam the magazine home, it more than likely will release. Not saying that is what ur doing either, just one thing that will cause it. Otherwise what Bawanna stated is also a thing to look at. Hard insertion will cause it. Some people like what your gun is doing as it eliminates any movement towards the slide lock release, in essensce eliminating one step in loading the gun. If I slam my PM9 magazine, it will do it sometimes. If I slam my G19, it will do it every time. I don't slam my magazines, never did and when I insert I am able to tap the mag release button to even let the magazine glide over that mag release button easier.
