I got my slide back from Kahr about 2 weeks ago with the my new Meprolight night sights installed. I thought about trying to install them myself but after looking at them I just shipped them back to Kahr along with my slide and had them do it. 65 dollars is pretty steep for what is probably a 10 minute job but I will say this, they do excellent work. Not a scratch on my slide or the sights and after my first trip to the range today with the new sights I am totally impressed. The sights are centered perfectly, they line up with my new ctc laser and greatly help with accuracy.
I can see now I need to put night sights on my Glock 27 too, and maybe a laser also.
Oh yeah, 100 percent reliable at the range also, with no issues whatsoever.
I cannot think of anything I would trade for my little PM, one of the best purchases I ever made.
I bought a small table vice and installed a set of XS Big Dots on a Glock 30 (http://kahrtalk.com/showthread.php?t=5802)myself. The process and job was fairly easy(about 40mins taking my time), XS provided the the drifts, tools and detailed instructions which was a big help. I want a set for the K9 soon and I'm debating whether or not to attempt installing them myself. The Glock was easy and required only minimum filing, I'm not sure I want to push my luck with the K9's two dove tails....though

Kahrs installs sights every day of the week, sol they have the tools and the expertise to do it right. Why gamble on trying to save a few bucks. Just send the slide to them and not the entire gun. This willsave you big bucks. Kahr sights for some reason are the tighest sob's on the market. I ruined a new brass punch set trying to get my K9 sight out and never mnoved the damn thing one bit. I bought a sight pusher and was able tomove it but it was still tough to do. Not saying one can't do it at home either, just saying, error on theside of cautin. If you screw up your slide, ur liable, if kahrs screws up your slide kahr will stand behind it. We have seen that happen on this forum and kahr took care of their mistake. Kahrs turn around will amaze you two...Replacement sights are always easier tomove than when the factory installs the original sights, and I think alot of that is the hand fitting of those night sights is done better..

I can attest to this. Kahr botched my slide job, but ended up providing a new slide to make things right. I'm sure it was just a rare occasion.

I read somewhere,
"The satisfaction of a quality purchase lasts long after the thrill of a cheap price is forgotten"
I probably have close to $1000 dollars total in my PM now and it was worth every penny.
