Good articles... One on new NAA BreakTop .22 magnum mini-revolver.

I saw at Speer/CCI in the GoldDot Short Barrel section that they have a .22 Magnum 40-gr. SB for 2" that will expand in the short barrels, but hard to find any, yet. It would be perfect for this pistol when it goes into full production.

There's a short but thoughtful article "Odd Angry Shot" on page 78 about being prepared for emergencies... something to consider, anyhow.

This is one of several Magazines with free digital subscriptions.

I would like to have the NAA break top .22 mag, but looking at the ballistics of the short barrel, it seems to be only about 100 FPS faster than the long rifle. It would be a nice snake gun with shot.

It's a definite improvement on taking the gun apart to load and unload. those that want it for a back up gun can try that CCI/Speer Gold Dot 40-grain Hollow Point Short Barrel

when it becomes widely available.

1150 FPS out of a 1.9" barrel ain't bad for a .22 mag.

They got a bit less:

Gold Dot® Short Barrel® Personal Protection .22 WMR
Part # 954 Caliber 22 Win. Mag. Bullet Wt. 40(grs)
Bullet Type GDHP-SB Test Barrel Length 1.9 (in)

Velocity (in feet per second)
Muzzle 1150, 50 yards 966, 100 yards 898

Energy (in foot pounds) Muzzle 99, 50 yards 83, 100 yards 72

Trajectory if sighted at 25 yards:
25 yards 0.0, 50 yards -1.2, 75 yards -4.8, 100 yards -10.9

Usage: Personal Protection

I tried to make the tables come out readable here, but the formatting and my attempt to line things up doesn't work.
