just got my new pm9, i was always used to 3 dot sites so i tried to contact kahr about having some trijicon or meprolight sights installed. i made two phone calls on hold both times for 10 min with no answer, left a voice message with call back number, also sent e-mail. 3 days later i have received no response of any kind. is this what i can expect from kahr? i own springfield armory have never had any trouble talking to someone who could answer my question both on the phone and e-mail, same with ruger. i don't want to be critical but i hope i don't have any issues that need to have warranty work done as i fear i may never get through. as i said is this kahr customer service normal? thanks

Definitely not normal. I don't do the telephone but the few occasions where I sent an email I got a response pretty quickly.

I had the same frustrating experience trying to contact KAHR about new springs for a used P9 late last year. It didn't used to be so difficult. It might be the time of day or day of the week, or maybe they lack personnel, but I finally gave up to try subsequent days. I received no returned calls, no returned e-mails and very tired of listening to their automated voice telling me to hold on. If you wait long enough as I did, you eventually get rerouted and advised to leave a voice mail, then disconnected from que. That happened several times.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, their tech (Ion) department answered very quickly when I just recently called about new MEPROLIGHT night sights for my P40.

I don't think it's normal dilson123. I've found e-mail usually gets a very quick response at Kahr, haven't tried the phone route yet.

Go to their web site and it explains exactly what you need to do to get them to install night sights. It doesn't require a phone call at all.

Send 80.00 for sights (meps), 40.00 for labor and 25.00 for return shipping to (145.00) along with slide to:

i had other questions for them that were not answered on the web site. to each his own but if you don't give me the courtesy of a response i will spend my money some where else. i am too old to waste my time with people who do not want my business, understand i am not mad, there are plenty of reputable smiths in my area who will be happy to do the work, want the business, will return my calls or e-mails, and i will save the cost of shipping. i guess i was just concerned that if i actually needed them for some warranty work is this their m.o.. thanks for the responses.
