I currently carry my 27 for my edc and I am leaning toward another kahr to replace it for the up and coming hot Florida sun. I have read everything about both and i cant make up my mind. From what I can interpret it's personal preference more than anything. Some swear the pm series are not as reliable as the mk and so on ect.... I am familar with the pm series but not so much with the mk.... Any advice or help is appreciated!

I was in the same boat about a year ago. I was finally swayed by the weight difference between the 2 and went with the PM. I am convinced I made the right decision for myself, although the MK does look awfully attractive. I really like the wood grips, one might be in my future someday.

MK is very nice, but quite heavy.

I own an MK9 Elite 03 and a PM9. I love both guns. They shoot equally as well, both look good, and are easily carried. I'd say recoil is equal as well. I would have to give the edge to the PM9 because of it's light weight. I pocket carry it regularly but would not pocket carry the MK, it's just a little too heavy. If you carry it on your hip then weight won't matter.

If my budget allowed, I would have the MK, although the CW9 has been 100% reliable, accurate and flawless in every way. I'm sure the PM9 would have been every bit as good as the CW has been, and the price I was originally quoted between the PM9 and slightly more expensive MK9 was only $50-75 different. I personally prefer steel over tupperware, and don't care much about the weight difference as I carry IWB or OWB 95% of the time.. never carry out of easy reach in my tight jeans pockets. (I still wear studly tight fittin' jeans)
My personal choice would be the MK:)

I have a PM40 (actually a P40 covert) and an MK40. Without a doubt the MK is more pleasant to shoot and really feels great in the hand with both the stock and especially with the wood grips. All that being said, I always grab the polymer gun for CC. YMMV
I have the MK9, I actually prefer the heavier weight. It feels like I have more control over the gun and to me, there is less recoil. I carry IWB, so I don't really notice it.

thanks for the input guys, but isn't the mk series with wood grips just as wide as a glock 26/27?

I have a MK40, and wear it in an ankle holster. I just love the accuracy of the thing. MY .02

I went from a G27 to a PM40.
95% of the time the PM is on me.
Have no intentions of getting rid of the G27 though.
Make the change, don't look back, the PM is a very comfortable gun to carry in any pocket, or IWB.

i'd carry the glock if your life depended on it! i've got a kahr pm40 that jams often because of a 200 shot reliabilty break in period and 5 year warranty. wanna trade?

Interesting first post g3003 and short.
So you have a pm40 that "jams often because of a 200 shot reliability break in period".
Is this a "drive by" or do you honestly think that the people on this forum would not try to help you out?

PM40 all the way for me. Never a single failure. Nice to carry any style. I carry pocket most of the time, but sometimes on a paddle. It was a choice betwee the G27 and the PM40 and I'm glad I made the right choice. Myself and a buddy who owns a 27 did a comparison on the range. After he felt the DAO trigger one round, both of us shot the PM much more accurately, no questions asked. The 27 is still a very nice gun too. Just my input.

agree surv: for a 1st time poster, I don't put alot of precedence in it either...
DRIVE BY is a good term.

g3003, damn how can that be'' a kahr with a 4 year longer warranty than a glock, which is only 1 year. . Put a worm on the hook troll!!!
