Anyone know when they quit making them? Was in a LGS a little while ago and they had one in the display case. The owner said he found it it his inventory and it was NIB. I opened it up and it did look new. The stainless slide was very dingy looking but that could just be from sitting in its box for a few years. The magazine that was in it said MK9. Does any of this sound fishy to anyone? The guy does have a large inventory back room. The trigger felt okay.

Thanks

Nice gun, hard to believe a dealer had this in inventory all this time. It has been a few goodyears since the P9 covert wasmade. a serial # might tell you when that gun was made. U could take that year plus a couple to determine about when the quit making it. I wantto say when the pM series came out the coverts died a slow death. But IO was also told a few years ago that sometimes kahrs finds some old stock like (like carbon steel slides) and just decideds to use up those new old parts and bring out a carbon steel blued K9. Sure wouldn't be rocket science if kahr had a few hundred covert lowers around and someone decided to bring back the P9 covert while supply lasts. That is one nice peace IMO.
