OK guys, Monday is d-day for the CM9 release, :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
The first to get a CM9 please take a picture and post it so we know that they are hitting the streets!

Much obliged, :yo:

Hi,

I'm aware of the differences between the PM9 and the CM9 but am wondering if the early adapters will still be Beta Testers? Lots of folks just won't touch a brand new firearm model until the bugs shake out; not a problem with the CM9?

I would take the first CM9 that shows up. I am 90% confident it will be made right on the first try...and the other 10% is certainty that Kahr would smooth out any "new model" bumps in short order. It seems that about all they did was take the less refined cosmetic approach to a PM9 slide and give it CW9 appearance, probably the same barrel as PM9 with the exception of rifling type...so basically the CM seems to me to be nothing but a less "finished" copy of the PM9. Since Kahr has had more than enough experience in tweaking the PM9 in the last few years, I am led to believe that the CM9 will be reliable (relative to PM9 standards) from the start.

Exactamundo. They didn't reinvent the wheel, all the basic make it run stuff is the same, the frame is actually probably a PM9. Only the slide and the barrel and perhaps the slide lock will be different.

I'd take the first one too without the slightest concern for all the reasons Mr. Surveyor already mentioned.

Wonder if I can win if I don't enter. I found out that was why I never won the lottery. Didn't realize I needed to buy tickets......dumb.

Talked with Kahr Customer service on Tuesday this week about my CW40 I sent in for warranty service. I asked him if the CM9 was going to ship on date publicized. He told me he did not know anything about it. Interesting answer. One might speculate that they were going to miss the date, or company line from the start was that they were not to discuss it.

I had originally intended to buy the CM9 instead of the PM9, but I was impatient and thought the PM9 would already have all the kinks worked out.
