Frankly Scarlet, I don't give a damn!

But count me in anyhow. Movie stars make big bucks and I know people to share the loot with.

I'll start studying up on Mammy. Frankly I don't remember her, perhaps the house servant.

Hmmm... "Ashley is the man with whom Scarlett O'Hara is obsessed. Gentlemanly yet indecisive, he loves Melanie, his cousin and later his wife, but is tormented by an obsession with Scarlett." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Wilkes

I can't decide if this is a good fit or not?? Gentlemanly, horny, and indecisive....

Sounds like a perfect fit to me but we'll leave it to the casting director. I'm sure they have malls in Hollywood so your mall lurking won't be effected in any negative way, cept maybe you'll have more loot for candy.

Well I researched my Mammy character, never too early to start preparing. Anyhow I was shocked at the uncanny physical similarities that we share with each other, right down to the dew rag on the head.

If ever I was destined to be a Hollywood actor, Mammy is my calling. Perhaps it's my passion?

Right now I gotta go scrub some floors and polish the silver.

Remind me if I have time to call my sister Cinderella, tell her to bring the pumpkin buggy, we're going partying tonight.

I want the part of the Union army shelling Atlanta. Doesn't require much acting talent and I can use the extra artillery.

I had to look up Prissy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterfly_McQueen

I thought she got a "Best Supporting Actress" Oscar, or something for that role in GWTW. Maybe nominated??

Somehow I'm glad I didn't make the cut. I haven't seen the film since 1956 and don't remember much anyway, but I can't say that here in Atlanta.

Seeing as you actually live in the great state of Georgia you can have the part of Jonas Wilkerson the overseer.

Never saw the movie and don't know anything about it. If there's a role for a manager, maybe you could consider me?

I gotta start out as a slave servant and you want to be management? Huh? I got issues with that although I decided awhile back that for my next job I'm gonna start at the top and work my way down. This starting at the bottom and working my way up just isn't working for me.

You get the part of Aunt Pittypat. To get the part of a manager will take some major sucking up.Hint to all who aspire: You can start by telling me how I haven`t aged a bit since my early thirties.

Oh heavens to Betsy Dietrich I didn't realized you'd passed 30. I figured you for the same age as D!ck Clark, 28 ish.

Your mind no doubt associated the thread title with the creator and not the name itself.
Poor Dietrich is stigmatized with a reputation for the strange and perverse.
Actually many of us here are stereotyped with some of the same characteristics.
Of course some of us more than others.

I gotta go lick some windows now before the short bus gets here. I'm getting some councilling in preparation for O'Dell wielding the whip. Truth be told I'll enjoy the whip immensely, the councilling is to train me not to smile.

Prissy, ok Dietrich, I admit it's been some time since I read that book, but Prissy? WTF, I still know some of those mosquitoes that sound like C130's in your neck of the woods. Don't make me make a call or two. I can guarantee that they can carry you off, and drop you on the other side of that penitentiary wall, sans lube.

Oh no, our first unhappy and dissolushioned cast member. This isn't gonna be good come contract time. Careful I understand Sheen is looking for work.

jlottmc
03-22-2011, 10:43 AM
Well, I have no interest in acting nor being cast in a part. Let Sheen have it. I think I also need to read that book again before I make those calls. Dietrich there is an old chief's curse (being a Marine I feel obliged to barrow it), and is used as a term of endearment on occasion, goes something like **** in Your Flat Hat or sign a letter SYFH.
To you I say SYFH.

Bawanna

Wheres your team spirit and sense of adventure? Not everyone can be Mammy and who knows even with our uncanny physical resemblances I may wash out at rehearsals, I'm kind of shy and not into being in front of folks so the Mammy role might be up for grabs. Although I'm studying hard.

I have it from inside contacts that Dietrichs next Hollywood endeavor will be a remake of Annie.

I assume you'd not be interested in the staring role?

I'd so love the part but I just don't have the hair, and those curls, just to die for.

Well if you want to do the lights and crowd thing you better to the suck up to Dietrich thing. I imagine we'll be needing lights and hopefully crowd control. I'm hoping to have a huge number of fans.

What's all this "Gone with the Wind" stuff, was it a book or a movie or something? Or is this just your way of talking about f@rting without anyone knowing it? P.S. I wouldn't want to be Prissy either, whoever he/she was. Them may be some fighting words to a Marine.

jlottmc
03-22-2011, 12:20 PM
Classic literature there Mikey. As for the Prissy thing, like I said it's been quite some time since I read the book, which was made into a screen play and later a movie long before any of us came around, and I don't remember the character. Like I said, the spotlight is not for me, I work crowds with a tank, or a platoon clad in riot gear.
Remember that Dietrich has a different sense of humor. I'll play along, but think you'd want me out of sight/out of mind. Ok, we know that I'm already out of mind, but that's not what I meant.

Bawanna
03-22-2011, 12:27 PM
Who's to say who really is or isn't out of their mind. What do we use for a baseline to compare weather one is in or out of his mind.

Perhaps some minds are too small to be in or some are so cavernous that we're in there but go unnoticed.

Is the window licker actually out of his mind or merely dancing to the beat of a slightly misguided drummer?

What is a mind anyhow? How do we really know that thoughts come from the head and not the big toe on our left foot (for left handed people no doubt).

I shall ponder this during my afternoon nap.

In my youth that would have made me cry. Now it's music to my ears and theres no place I'd rather be. Sadly I seldom hear the go to your room order anymore.

I do agree a nap is definitely needed here. I'm tired and theres no more windows to lick.

Maybe I'll go crawl in the washing machine and hit the normble button and see if getsome is onto something there. Do we get to spin on normble cycle? Oooh I hope so.......

MW surveyor

I need a nap myself.

As usual, been up since 0400 working at the computer, then meeting at a clients office, back home, sit in front of the computer reviewing information sent regarding some upcoming work and finding (as usual) that the information sent is not what was requested both in writing and face to face, urrrgh. Can't take a nap until SHMBO gets through working in the yard and goes off to the nursery (her happy place, not mine). Should be able to slip in a 30 min cat nap once she leaves. (and it can't be too soon for me).

BTW - normble does have the spin cycle so enjoy! Just be sure that you wait abit before getting out. Your world will be moooooving.
