View Full Version : P45
Hey All,
I picked up a P45 yesterday. I've had a PM45 before, but cases hitting my forehead caused me to abandon it.
Here are the first 50 rounds from 25' off-hand of the new P45. Recoil was noticeably less than the PM45, with excellent controllability for follow-up shots, and consistent/solid extraction.
I may need to drift the sight later, but the wind was causing significant target movement, which caused the groups to open up also. I'll wait until a less windy day to shoot for score and drift accordingly.
Edited - 100+ rounds = zero malfunctions.

Looks like a keeper. Here's a thought, get a truck load of ammo, and a couple of days to play with it all and enjoy. My P45 shoots better than I do, and I love it more and more when I shoot it and carry it. Sadly though, my wife just borrowed it until I get her a CW45. I hate this marriage thing and the property rules, you know she says whats yours is mine, and whats mine is mine. Next month I will have her CW45, unless I forgo the Smith that I want this month.

What's not to love about a 45? BTW, that was almost the exact line that was used to hook me on the P45.

That still boggles my mind. I just can't comprehend that. I'm happy for you that it does but just don't get it.
Mine shoots better than my M&P, but it's not quite the HK 45c.

There ya go. Nothing wrong with rubbing and I do appreciate a fat bullet, which helps offset my distaste for fat............oh crap a power failure.

Mine shoots better than my M&P, but it's not quite the HK 45c.
I've got two HK45C's, and my P45 hangs right with them up about 50 feet. After that, the better LEM trigger on the HKs asserts its superiority.
But I am constantly amazed at the inherent accuracy of this little pistol.

Hang with = close but no cigar. ;)
Last time I shot my HK45c @ 25' and it was one hole, probably .50" in diameter, 5 shots. No kidding, they are that good.
The P45 has outshot every other 45 I've owned.

two different guns
I shot alot of "one holers" with every gun I own, I do assume when they say one holers that means just one shot groups---don't it???
2 different guns?
Nice observation. ;)
