:yo:Hello, iam a new member and have been reading most of the threads on the pm45 which i have had now for a month or so.I have exsperianced most of what i have read and can feel your pain!!But just like most once i picked it up i had to have it!And also like most the pistol is becomming more reliable.I have got over the jamming issues and am working out the occastional failur to eject the spent casing. Now focusing on the carry ammo. With the 230 grain round do you think it would be better to have a 230 grain +P or is the size of the round adequet all by itsself?I have a 9mm which i use 124 grain +P so i want to stay with the 230 grain with the pm45.What a bad a__ pistol this is!!!!!There are many more things i could ask but 1 thing at a time. Thanks for passing on all of the valuable info on all subjects as you are saving everyone else pain and money.:)

Welcome Mr. fleegs, for me I stick with the standard stuff in my PM45. I tend to stick with standard over +P stuff in all my guns.

I like Speer Gold Dot or the Winchester T stuff. I mostly use the Gold Dot.

You feel absolutely free to fire them questions anytime one pops into your head. I'll tackle the easy ones myself, and let the experts deal with the hard stuff.

Glad you found us, glad your here.

Darn I hope you like it but please don't take my word for it. Not sure I can handle the pressure. It works good for me in all my 45's. I like it.

Make sure you try some to insure it works good for ya. Don't have to tell ya that, you already know but never hurts ya know?

Hey fleegs! Pardon me if you already know this, but if you can find a box of LE marked Gold Dots, you can get 50 rounds for not much more than a box of 20 rounds.

Don't tell him, but I agree with Bwanna. I don't usually use a +P in the .45, regardless of bullet weight.

The PM 45 is a great little gun isn't it? I love mine. It can take some work to get it fully right, but it's worth it. Or so I think.

melissa5,thank you for the idea.I did check a sight called policehq.com and did find that for just a little more i could get 50 rounds.I will check the sight that you recommended. Thanks again.I believe i will stick to the standard 230gr hollow point over the +P.

GTDistributors site has a statement on the ammo page that they only sell ammo to LEOs, Licensed Security, or purchasing agents for same...Is this not actually the case?

I liked the remington GS 185gr in my PM45 and the GD worked well too just make sure that the ammo you select cycles live rounds without a hitch alot of guys overlook this test and you will be suprised how many brands will not eject a live round

I was told that they sell ammo to civilians in their stores, so I always look at the web site thing as a formality just to check your age. Never had a problem ordering from them except for some out-of-stock ammo. Then that wasn't really a problem.
